  1. I really dig the comic version of Luke Cage but he wasn't incredibly interesting in Jessica Jones. The way I had heard it was that it was supposed to be DD, then JJ then a Fist/Cage team up show so I wasn't aware he was getting his own show. Those are the first set photos I've seen. I'll for sure watch it but I would have been a lot more excited for a Cage show before the JJ series. The character never became that interesting in JJ in to me atleast didn't feel much like Luke Cage.
  2. Is there a source for this? Because I haven't seen any pictures of Luke Cage's production or even read anything about it. Meanwhile in August I saw pictures of Jon Bernthal as the Punisher on set doing shit. Meanwhile I can't find a single set picture of Luke Cage or even any news on if episodes have been written let alone filmed. Thats why I was wondering what was going on with the series I get that they don't want to overshadow Jessica Jones but there was still photos and news about Daredevil 2 long before JJ series. I will say though that somebody mentioned there being no buzz on Luke Cage after the last series and I agree. As far as their other quality shows. Kimmy Schmidt was one of those shows I had heard was good but knew nothing about and after the first episode I was hooked. Orange is the New Black I think has ran its course after three seasons it seems to be diminishing returns. I never got into House of Cards and that horror tv show they had I can't remember its name had so much potential but wasn't that great.
  3. Has there been any more news on the next Neflix show? First I heard it was going to be a Cage/Iron Fist team up show. Then everything I read said it was going to be two separate shows. Now that Daredevil took off its already filming/filmed its second season and I still can't find any news on if there is going to be a Cage/Fist show at all.
  4. I didn't think I said anything spoilerly and I was purposely vague but no big deal. I edited it
  5. Brown as in Antonio Brown? Because he's leagues above everyone else. Robinson would be a good choice as well but Hurns seems to be the number 1 guy and he's producing as good if not better than Robinson. I got Doug Baldwin, CJ Anderson and Harry Douglas for my Flex spot. I really don't see CJ Anderson producing much which means its really up to Douglas who will be a starter and one of only two healthy receivers for Tenn and Baldwin. AS much as I want to pick Douglas I'm leaning on Baldwin.
  6. I somehow survive this week I have no idea how. Langford and Jeffery combined for 37 points. It could have been a close game if Gould had hit those two field goals. I was worried about surviving this bye week.
  7. San Diego is making Cutler looking like Brady tonight. He's basically thrown to Jeffery or handed off to Langford all night and yet somehow San Diego can't cover those two guys. It doesn't help that San Diego's had no offense since Rivers wants to run that no huddle with a bunch of o line guys who might as well have came off the street.
  8. I got Stevie Johnson left to play and they got Gould, Langford and Jeffery. I'm projected to win by 22 but I'm not real sure I feel all that great about it. I should have played Ryan Matthews in the flex spot last night and I'd be taken care of for the week.
  9. Stevie Johnson with Allen being out is going to be Rivers' top target I would imagine. They are also playing Chicago not exactly a stiff defense. Ingram and the Saints have been moving the ball a lot better but of course they are a pass heavy team. I bet that Tyler guy winds up having a good game...
  10. So since I decided to try and win this year without drafting a single quality wide receiver or running back. Figuring guys like Jimmy Graham, Keenan Allen, and Roddy White would deliver me a championship this year. Luckily I snatched up Duke Johnson Jr a few weeks ago along with Murray from Oakland they have made for a respectable running back core. I had Williams from the Steelers at the start of the year and dropped him when Bell got Healthy. I wanted to pick him back up but was beat out on the waiver wire for him. I didn't start Johnson planning on going with Murray and Williams this week. So my question is I have two slots and four running backs that make me miserable just trying to figure who to start. I'm currently starting Anderson and Murray but I have Matthews and Melvin Gordon on the bench. Matthews is playing Dallas and they seem to have a decent running game and Philly's running attack is mostly shit. Gordon is playing Chicago. I'm leaning towards Anderson and Murray but my fear is that Anderson is the "backup" and may not get the touches needed.
  11. Kind of crazy a guy like Pagano who has a .673 winning percentage as a head coach is talked about like he's going to be fired because his team is .500. Personally I thought they should have stuck with Arians in the first place but it seems weird that a bad season would be put on him. Even if they completely shit the bed this year I'm not sure how a guy who wins 2 out of every 3 games he coaches would be in danger of getting fired. Especially this year when a lot of the teams skill positions have lost past players and they have been replaced by other "vets".
  12. From everything I've heard the Topher Grace cut which is like 85 minutes spanning all three prequels is about the best possible way to present them. An interesting read on the whole thing as somebody recaps pretty much what the movie looks like since he can't release it online or anything. http://www.slashfilm.com/topher-grace-edited-star-wars-prequels-85minute-movie/
  13. So I have a three way QB Controversy. I can start Luck against New England which doesn't sound like a good idea when he's at his best and after the season he's been having it sounds like an even worse decision. Then you add in that he might not be 100 percent and it just doesn't sound like a great idea. But sadly my backup is Colin Kaepernick I always thought this guy was severely overrated and this year he's not even playing worthy of a backup spot. I keep hoping he'll come out of it. I picked up Andy Dalton who seems like a no brainer to play but he's playing against Buffalo who have been shutting everyone not named Tom Brady down. So I'm leaning towards Dalton does anyone think Luck or Colin is a better option?
  14. Yeah I was gonna say they have no idea who the Wolves are. At best they know some walkers got some W's carved in them. I'm not real sure what their endgame for the walkers is but something tells me a giant semi blowing its horn when I assume coming straight at them is going to make whatever plan they had null and void. Which would be sort of aggravating we watched and hour and a half of them herding these walkers without any real payoff.
  15. Yeah I thought it was pretty straightforward atleast for comic fans they were going in that direction for both. Which sucks for Caitlin because not only do I love her in the role she's in but someone else mentioned the chemistry between her and Barry is pretty awesome.
  16. Who was the villain in Castaway? Big Fish didn't have a villain and I dug that. Gravity as well. Don't get me wrong I won't be watching a Sully movie but I think plenty of really good movies have no villain. That would actually be a fun thread good movies without an antagonist.
  17. So in the last two years Tom Hanks has been Walt Disney, Captain Phillips, James Donovan, and now Sully.
  18. I knew he was getting a new series well in 2017 so I guess still atleast a year and a half away I'd imagine. I just wasn't sure if this would be a show focusing on more supernatural elements of the MU or if this was going to be just another street level Marvel show which I think I'll be ready to move on from after Daredevil, Punisher, Defenders, etc.
  19. Wasn't real sure where to talk about this so I figured here was as good as place as any. I'm much more of a DC fan than Marvel. Outside of X Men. A friend of mine was buying each of the Maximum Carnage books as they came and thats what got me into comics...that and Wolverine. I could have SWORN that Moon Knight was in that book but there were so many people in that book that I can't seem to recall if he was or wasn't. Everything I've read about the guy is that he's a supernatural, split personality, Batman/Bruce Wayne? So does he operate in the more "supernatural" sect of the Marvel Universe? Even if seemingly a lot of those guys are still pretty anchored in the "mainstream" sect. With Blade and Morbius and what not being fairly strongly tied to Spiderman. I've always liked the characters look even if when I wiki him its hard to really get an understanding of his character.
  20. I agree in fact Tuxedo Dude was so awesome. When we first see him I thought he worked FOR the Army. After a good episode two weeks ago this last episode was back to being dull as shit. This has been the most boring apocalypse in recent memory.
  21. I have to choose between playing Sproles and Melvin Gordon this week. Well I could sit Latavius Murray but he's had a decent outing so far and he's playing the Browns so I like that match up. I'm leaning towards Gordon since he's playing a much easier D in Minnesota than Sproles will face in New York.
  22. This last episode is awesome but I still feel like the slow burn people have been talking about has been more implied than shown. It feels like we went from "hey something weird is going on lets go to the desert and wait it out" to the army showing up and shutting the neighborhood down all in one episode and now we're already at "everyone is dead". That seems really quick I would have loved to seen a slower burn but I just didn't think it was all that slow. The Army showing up would have been a good season finale I think. More things that didn't make sense. I haven't been in school in a very long time 15 years I guess. Would she really be able to get hardcore pain meds at a school like that? Also at that point weren't they still in the "hey we don't know whats going on something weird is going on lets go wait it out" mode? If so how does that warrant breaking into a high school and stealing the pain meds? It seems like to do that you would have to pretty much accept that it was the very last resort of getting help. Also unless I misunderstood why are they going to the desert? Isn't that the last place you would want to go in a situation like this? As far as very little if any shelter, very little if any water, very little if any available food. Aren't these the basics you want when looking for a safe house of sorts in a survival situation? Access to food, shelter and water. I get that there aren't many people out there but it seems like it wouldn't matter much when instead of being killed by zombies you die because you're in the desert with limited rations. I did actually enjoy this episode more than any of the others. Did we ever get to see her boyfriend turn into a zombie? She's over there nursing him back to health, she leaves, never goes back and I guess as best as I know we never got a follow up to that. I know he's a zombie or dead or whatever just seems like we'd get a throwaway scene of that. I was pretty certain the flashes were gunfire from the very start of the episode so when its the big reveal at the end of the episode I was just kind of like "oh ok". Still though its finally getting interesting even if none of the characters are connecting at all so far. With The Walking Dead I was pretty into Shane and Rick's characters from their first conversation in the car. For whatever reason they felt more "real". The dad/boyfriend seems very rigid to me and nobody seems "real" to me. Hopefully we start to see more character development now that they have already killed off the entire city within a few episodes.
  23. I am so bored with this show. I'll give it to the end of the season but so far I felt like the first episode was the best episode. Its hard for me to believe that the boyfriend doesn't want her to kill the neighbor because they are "sick" when he was in the car where they ran that guy over proper a bunch of times and no fucks where given. He was also present when a guy took a shotgun blast to the walkers face. The walker his zero face and he doesn't so much as flinch he gets right back up. Despite all of this plus probably things I'm forgetting he doesn't want to kill anybody. Beyond that though I'm just bored. It seems like nothing happens the entire episode and then in the last 30 seconds something happens that seems like it might go somewhere. Its equally hard for me to understand why the military would be going into seemingly random subdivisions. I think beyond everything else though the first episode of The Walking Dead Rick was an interesting character, Morgan was an interesting character, Shane, Lori, the blonde chick I can't remember the name of, Glen, these guys were all way more interesting than nearly every character outside of the drug addict so far. I was really looking forward to this show but every part of it feels so dull, bland and boring.
