  1. I'm far enough into this now that I'm pretty comfortable calling it one of the two absolutely essential mods for adding content, along with Sim Settlements 2. The first version of the mod was fine but this is just a much more refined and better version with improved custom graphics as opposed to using existing assets, new unique locations, etc. If you're looking to do an evil playthrouhgh this is the one. The Enclave as always are the "ends justify the means" faction with the added bonus of having clear goals instead of the Institute's "we're building synths because... uh, we're building synths". An oil rig base, new Enclave equipment, a really well done mission chain including proper integration with the main story so you can't progress past certain points until it's lore appropriate, solid voice actors, the opporunity to do just enough scummy shit to remind you that you're not the heroes without beating you over the head with it every second, this is just great. I just do my Fallout 4 modding through the in game menu but if you're a Nexus person here is the link you have no excuses: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/75767
  2. Career Mode releaseing for Undisputed has been pushed to "early 2024" whatever that ends up meaning.
  3. I enjoy the game but I also think there's a ton of valid criticisms of it. I think it says a lot that I'm enjoying Fallout 4 thanks to all the Creation Kit made add ons a lot more. I still think Starfield will be awesome post-creation kit but I've basically done everything I can possibly want to do for now. There are a ton of systems and ideas that, on the surface, are great, but they lack the depth the creation kit is going to add. It doesn't help that portions of the main story might be the worst part of the game. All of the dialogue involving working out a puzzle around which planet the Pilgrim went to is just absolute pure nonsense of the bad kind. It doesn't help that Matteo and Noel are two of the most boring characters possible. The side factions are definitely better.
  4. I know I have a rep as a Fromsoftware Apologist, but that touches on one of the many reasons I love their games. They rely more on environmental storytelling and "the lore is in random item descriptions" than any other modern games I know. It's pure.
  5. Heads up that there's now a version 2 of America Rising out which is the Enclave focussed mod, I'm not that deep into it yet but it's even more fleshed out than the original and feels good.
  6. All the crap we get remade and letting people play the one good Star Wars thing is in development hell.
  7. I've seen some cash grabs in my time but remastering a game that is like 4 years old or whatever is definitely one of them.
  8. All the luck stuff that boosts criticals in VATS is so gloriously broken. 1% to hit normally? lol
  9. Man, I only use XBOX knockoffs on PC, maybe it's a hand size thing but they are the only controllers I feel are actually comfortable for long sessions.
  10. The only one on the list that bugs me is Resident Evil 4 because it feels a lot like if you nominated the 5th version of Skyrim or whatever
  11. https://youtu.be/2Ow4vDoGyjg?si=GxAVQmaAFNmFQYpe Oh baby. I, clearly don't know how to make Youtube work anymore.
  12. Play Subnautica which is not at all scary in any way and won't get into your head at all. Large bodies of open water don't bother me one bit.
  13. Honestly I'm just glad someone else dived in on this so I don't feel crazy for repeatedly saying "for God's sake try the mod menu, this game is actually incredible a few years on".
  14. I don't understand how or why exactly but it seems the whole basis of this is somehow WB executives are cancelling films for tax write offs that wind up making them money? Fucking bizarre. Honestly the plot synopsis (Wile E. Coyote sues ACME for their faulty products causing him to never catch the Roadrunner, also John Cena is present) sounds great.
  15. It's not even Teru's knees keeping him out, his back is fucked.
  16. Beyond Good & Evil 2 is an Ubisoft thing so at this point I no longer believe it exists.
  17. Which comes out first, Elder Scrolls VI or GTA VI, the race is well and truly on.
  18. There's an asshole on a bridge in Lexington with a missile launcher that is a really common relatively early game gotcha and a few other set spawns with nasty stuff like that, but it's definitely not common. By the way I've been streaming a little bit the last few days to literally no audience but hey if you're ever bored as shit and want to watch me piss around in modded Fallout http://twitch.tv/StevenX
  19. I think my favourite random encounter was bumping into the sea shanty guy, it's such a nice little song.
  20. I don't know if this is considered a hot take or not, but I find the kids in this game shockingly endearing and not awful shits like most video game kids. The List kid was funny, and I actually like Sam Coe's kid too.
  21. My favourite random fall I've discovered is that any time you leave Travis' Diamond City Radio trailor, your companion for some reason insta falls and goes into a death state even though it appears to be like a 2 foot drop? It's bizarre but it was oddly funny to just suddenly hear Piper shout that she can't feel her leg, god bless Bethesda. I found a mod that apparently radically changes the ending for both the Railroad and Institute, and apparently lets you try to "reform" the institute post-main quest. I've never sided with them so I'm gonna try that and see what's what because that sounds pretty cool. Running an INT 10 but STR 1 character for it, the low carrying capacity is total ass but having access to the Nerd Rage perk is pretty nice.
  22. At this point I've modded my game up where actually getting through the tutorial "Kill Raiders at Corvega" mission is Elden Ring hard. I'm a broken person but it makes me happy.
