  1. That money I dropped on IWTV to see the DEAN show was definitely money well spent. I'm watching the Prestige Roseland 8 show now. Daniel Makabe vs Zack Sabre Jr. main event sounds tasty, plus Minoru Suzuki is going to murder AKIRA. And Alan "5" Angels is their champion? Cool.
  2. Is that the black hole where younger wrestler's heat goes?
  3. As with all things involving CM Punk, why let the truth get in the way of what his marks want to think?
  4. On the positive front, add me to the crowd that had fairly low expectations for Copeland in AEW. I was fine with him coming in and having one last showdown with Christian or whatever, but the TNT run has been a pleasantly good surprise. The Penta match was a ton of fun.
  5. No surprise after the Skyrim update a few months back, but I'm not looking forward to having my mod collection break.
  6. I would disagree that he always fought the same way. His defensive movement was significantly more active and generally better when he was young and there was a point he just either couldn't keep it up at that pace or got lazy. The guy that got caved in for 7 rounds by Lewis was a shell of the guy he was years earlier. His feet might as well have been glued in place by then.
  7. "Well, it's official: Murder is now legal in the state of California"
  8. They're running Edmonton on May 8th and working real hard to talk me out of buying a seat. I honestly don't know if there's anyone in wrestling I give less of a fuck about than CM Punk except for maybe Billy Gunn and Jeff Jarrett
  9. Oh man you're going to have a good time with Perfect Dark. Frankly it's held up a lot better than Goldeneye even if that one gets a lot of nostalgia points (and is still fun in its own way don't get me wrong).
  10. I'm watching the ETU vs Dragon Gate show now. Alec Price vs Shun Skywalker is really a lot of fun.
  11. I don't think I realized how much I needed the simple joy of that DEAN show. Just a bunch of good fucking pro wrestling with good people. Soul food.
  12. Oh, and having dumped Spotify for Tidal a while ago, I really don't miss it at all. I feel like I still have access to 99% of the stuff I had anyway (there's even a playlist transfer option though I had so many that only about a third of it made it over lol), with the added bonus I can now listen to Neil Young without needing shitty bootleg MP3s or whatever. Plus, you know, no Joe Rogan.
  13. I never gave a single fuck about The Police because, honestly, Sting isn't a very good singer and I'm baffled by the love for the guy. Copeland absolutely tore shit up in Oysterhead, though, so he's cool.
  14. I've had a couple very small feed hiccups but, like, I live in rural Canada the fact I have internet at all is a true miracle of modern science. This show has exceeded my wildest expectations. Something for everyone and that dog collar match was actually fucking insane.
  15. It's a part of our history, like stuffing instead of potatoes.
  16. I will be watching from home. It makes me feel good, for a change, to know that so many of my fellow DVDVR's that I've known online forever will be watching too.
  17. Hit them with da business https://youtu.be/wCTrcXckovg?si=J_AftauYfEYrjRpK
  18. One of the weird things I've discovered I like on Tiktok is there are home inspectors that will show you all the insane bullshit people will try and get by inspections, and also how some inspectors really don't give a shit as long as they get paid. There's a lot of new construction going on that is just fucking ridiculously bad too. It's a real jungle out there.
  19. I immediately think less of people that take anything Punk says at face value. We have like 2 decades of obvious examples that it's a dumb idea.
  20. I swear that my cat has been randomly checking in on me lately just to see that I'm okay. We don't deserve animals, man.
  21. Hayes Caril - Drunken Poet's Dream https://youtu.be/Pl33YZzVvCs?si=nVusI_u4RpP0Mq92
  22. Backstage Assault is incredible for just how difficult it is to overstate how bad it really was. Looked like shit, full of shit design ideas, controls that calling shit would be generous to, it really was the complete package. A hall of fame bad video game.
  23. Baldur's Gate 3 is still hanging around in the top 10 most concurrent players on Steam, which is downright incredible for a full price single player experience. Everything else on the list is your free to play and/or multiplayer behemoths. Well, and right now Stardew Valley has returned to the top 10 so I assume it's on sale again. It's very hard to think of the last single player focussed title that maintained this sort of momentum on the charts for this long, so even based solely on PC sales Larian made insane amounts of bank. Walking away from doing DLC or BG4 is absolutely leaving 9 figures on the table for the company, because hey, maybe they have enough money. What a novel idea.
