AEW TV - 3/13 - 3/19/2024 - Takin' Care of Business
StuntmanCrowley replied to Dolfan in NYC's topic in ALL ELITE WRESTLING
This might sound like hyperbole, but it's not....outside of the Best Friends not getting a tag title run, because that is never going to be topped to me, as the most disappointed I've been in AEW. That's a barebones insult of a bracket with a brutally telegraphed ending. Hell, I would've preferred an obvious FTR/BCC final despite being semi tired of Mox. -

v Athena, v Hayter and v Shida are my top 3. I do want to see a verbal sparring with her and Britt though. -
Rumor going around that Cavill is playing Wolverine in Deadpool and Wolverine.....Assuming it's a variant, or maybe the MCU version of the character?

I give all the credit in the world to Nick Jackson removing all headwear to the ring and really embracing that receding hairline. It genuinely adds so much for me considering he spent years hiding it. -
The Viceland Wrestling Documentaries

I think this was about as "wholesome" as a Dark Side episode could be. There was no negative comments on his character, nothing about him as a father that was negative. He was just a great human being in a sawmill of a business. I watched him as a kid and it didn't really register so much, but seeing this, i retroactively remember so much of his stuff. -
THANK YOU!

Wow! I honestly cannot thank you enough for this post, and look forward to diving in.

Yeah, I don't think so. My feelings on Punk are well known and not worth rehashing, but he was a malcontent and miserable prick and Miro seemingly doesn't want anything to do with what creative wants to do with him. 2 people are not indicative of an "AEW problem"

Being there to witness this live with my daughter, which it was her very first live wrestling experience was surreal. I honestly didn't think anything would top seeing Kingston/Akiyama live on Zero Hour before Full Gear 2022, but I can confidently say that seeing Sting's send-off live with my kiddo and two of my best friends in the world is hands down the best live wrestling experience I've ever had in my life.

Since we're throwing out recommendations, I am criminally unfamiliar with CMLL as whole. I wouldn't even know where to start with getting myself semi up to speed, is there is a good place to dive in? specific people to check out. I've seen a few names thrown in here with some timeframes, but i would appreciate any and all "hand holding" in regards to getting at least a small working knowledge.

I look at Sasha the same way I look at the Youg bucks(up until this heel run). I enjoy her matches, but outside of it, she doesn't really do anything for me one way or other. That being said, I'm definitely excited to see her go up against Hayter/Rosa/Stalander/Riho/Shida/Purazzo/Abadon/Hart/Skye Blue. I think her matching up with almost anyone in AEW's women division is exciting. Hayter v Banks though, that's where my top tier interest is. How far away is Hayter from returning? I feel like she's been out a long time. Same with Britt Baker

As much as I love the Christian stuff(though I'm beginning to agree with taking the belt off of him), I think it could go forward without Luchasaurus involved. Christian, Nick and Mama Wayne are fine on their own.

I will flat out admit I loved Jurassic Express as a team. I feel those two have infinitely more value as a team than separate.

God Forbid you cross CM Punk in any capacity in some circles.

Visiting a close friend in NC for the weekend and we got to talking about wrestling (he isn't a huge fan). Long story short, him, my daughter, his girlfriend and myself will all be attending AEW Revolution. It will be my daughters first wrestling show ever and she'll be getting to see Sting's final match. She's so excited.

I definitely enjoyed The Dead Don't Die!

FEBRUARY 2024 Wrestling Talk
StuntmanCrowley replied to Dolfan in NYC's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
I've really come around on this new iteration of NXT and for just that reason. They put together quality storylines lately and I really, really enjoy how much importance and emphasis they have around the NXT belt. I might be in the minority here, but it "feels" just so important in the grand scheme of their promotion, almost as much, if not moreso than the AEW title/Universal Title/Seth Rollins title. I'm not saying it is more important than those titles, but in relation to the promotion it's in, it definitely feels like it has the most weight. -

Plus, giving those two a big stage for their wars would be tremendous. I can't even call their showdowns "matches", they were just wars of attrition. -

I know it might be a bit of a "repeat", but I really think Gunther should lose to a debuting Ilja Dragunov. Sort of keep him as the only person who truly has Gunther/Walters number in NXT/WWE -

I want McIntyre to beat Rollins, and then hold it for a spell, not sure how long, but I think if McIntyre wins, Zayn HAS to be the one to take it off of him. They've made such a big deal about Zayn never being able to beat him and now we have Zayn's "losing streak" -

I think WWE should sprint, not walk to get Rollin's belt on McIntyres waist. His current heel persona combined with holding a high belt is a perfect combo. -
