  1. The difference is that Lex Luger actually got to walk out of the building with the title instead of being knocked out by Randy Anderson.

...and job it out 6 days later. So let me get this straight: You whiny folk want Bryan to win the title on Monday, job it back to Orton at Night Of Champions, and never win it again? That's better booking than the last few weeks of WWE?

  2. Finally dropping out of Smackdown this week, since they will just re-do every match and angle on Raw so they clearly don't want me watching both shows.

Kofi getting a pointless win over the Intercontinental champion who is being built up as a challenger to Punk is much, much more aggravating to me than whatever sky-is-falling bullshit the detractors of the Bryan angle are mad about.

  3. Which to the crowd means one of two things: a) They're terrified of him. or B) He's not a threat to them. One sided booking leads to thinking the latter.

An understandable pessimism from years of botched storylines leads to thinking the latter, but it's actually the former - Cody called Orton out on this in the backstage segment, saying "You're not afraid of Daniel Bryan" to no response. Bryan has been able to take out The Shield several times almost single-handedly and pinned John Cena clean before two fresh men had to double team him to get the belt off of him. They're booking Bryan fine. It's everyone else they're burying.
  4. Alright folks...there;s a TON of great musical photos out there-I'm talking "blood dripping off Ozzy's bottom lip after he recreated the infamous "bititing birds head off incident", to Waylon Jennings fugged up as a football bat backstage in a classic black and white piece.Hell the images don't even have to be of famous folks...just make sure they capture a cool moment...none of those :...yeah he'd  justed blahed and blah. Ya KNOW you reaklly had to be there" HELL NO I DON'T WANT TO SEE IT READ IT OR TRY AND COMPREHEND IT.GOT IT? GOOD.So I've got some killer shite...but I've got my com[uter in the shop and my tablet is keeping it company there, when I get 'em back it's on. Hell in the meantime light the board up with the awesomeness you have @ home. Thanks in advance folks,

    Huh?

  5.  It is kind of like rock music, I've often argued with people that The Isley Brothers are the best rock band of all time.  People always look at me and say, "That's not a rock band."  It's because as a society we can't even fathom a black band is a rock band despite the fact that rock music was invented by black people.

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and call bullshit on The Isley Brothers not being considered a rock band being a race thing.

  6. Christian's character is "wily grizzled veteran". I have no idea why people can't see that.

How does he play that character? How is it reinforced in promos and on commentary?
Well, he looks grizzled. And last night during his promo he talked about being a survivor of the Attitude era and the McMahon/ Helmsley regime. And the commentators always talk about him being a vet.
He also tends to win matches more by subterfuge than brute force. The last month he got wins over guys like Del Rio and Orton by rolling them up after mistakes.
Yeah, that isn't character work at all, it's WWE book-by-numbers. "OH, FANDANGO'S MUSIC IS PLAYING? WHAT IS HE DOING HERE? THE DISTRACTION!"
  7.

Billy Gunn fought WWF Tag Team Champion Kane to a no contest at around the 5-minute mark when the Road Dogg and X-Pac came out to help Kane as he was tied upside down in the ring ropes, with Gunn and Road Dogg fighting into the crowd as X-Pac & Kane were jumped from behind by Mark Henry & D-Lo Brown, with Ivory.

The Big Show fought Paul Bearer to a no contest at around the 3-minute mark when Show was jumped by all the members of the Ministry after calling them out.

Debra defeated WWF Women's Champion Sable (w/ Nicole Bass) to win the title via reverse decision in a bra and panties match.

The Big Bossman pinned Test in a nightstick match at 7:03 after hitting Test in the face with the nightstick as Test attempted a sunset flip.

Bradshaw fought Farooq to a no contest in a lumberjack match at around the 2-minute mark when Viscera and Mideon entered the ring and tried to stop the bout, with Farooq and Bradshaw shoving them out of the way until the Big Bossman came out and cooled them down.

Pat Patterson & Gerald Brisco defeated Rodney & Pete Gas at 2:09 when Rodney submitted to Brisco's figure-4 as Gas submitted to Patterson's Boston Crab. Patterson & Brisco used "Real American" as their theme music. Due to pre-match stipulations, Rodney & Gas were forced to leave the WWF.

Jeff Jarrett (w/ WWF Women's Champion Debra) pinned Val Venis at 8:03 by hitting him with Debra's title belt after she slapped Venis in the face.

Ken Shamrock fought Chyna (w/ Triple H) to a no contest when Triple H and Shamrock began fighting before the bout began, with Shamrock dropping Triple H to the mat and hitting a belly to belly suplex on Chyna before storming off, upset that he was driven to the point where he would strike a woman.

WWF World Champion Steve Austin, The Rock, & Vince McMahon defeated the Undertaker, Triple H (w/ Chyna), & Shane McMahon at 4:38 when Austin pinned Shane with the Stunner. Shawn Michaels was the guest referee for the bout.

    This show sounds awful.

  8. I don't mind the Punk/Heyman feud, but god damn Curtis Axel is the black hole of black holes when it comes to making shit interesting. I mean, that was no Show/ADR duct tape beatdown or anything, but damn if Curtis Axel didn't completely suck the life out of it with his stupid generic moves, his stupid generic look, and his stupid generic trash talk. I dare anyone to name one full-time wrestler on the roster that wouldn't have made that segment more interesting.

Zack Ryder, Sin Cara, Kofi Kingston, David Otunga, Justin Gabriel, Brodus Clay, Darren Young, Khali

    Miz is also highly debatable.

  9.

The thing where Val went heel on Foley and actually beat him in a ppv match happened in 1999. That angle was spun off the Rock N Sock Connection when Foley gave Rock his own personalized Mr. Socko (Rock-o) and Val stole it and wouldn't give it back because he liked stuffing it down his trunks.

I had completely forgotten that angle.  Foley selling absolute horror as Mr. Rock-O was snuggling Val's johnson was patently absurd.  Thank you for reminding me how ridiculous 99 Russo WWF was :)

Val going over Foley happened at No Mercy 1999. Russo jumped a couple of weeks before that, so he may not have been responsible.
