  1. The Flair podcast this week was drunk Flair burying everyone from the 90s to Kevin Sullivan and then wondering why Vince won't "use" him. Oh, and Sullivan's dick.
  2. I really liked the U.S. Open Challenge at the start. A lot of good matches. The problem I see is this - Savage-Steamboat was awesome because you didn't see Savage-Steamboat type matches every week. Cena has a Savage-Steamboat every fucking time. Awesome, there's going to be 35 near falls. It isn't special if it's every fucking week. I get it that I'm an asshole for bitching about Great matches.
  3. Evil Emma is exponentially more hot than IPad case stealing good girl Emma.
  4. Reading this thread, I was thinking exactly this and couldn't have put it better. I just dislike Michaels, despite him being objectively great in almost every aspect. And he absolutely sucks now. Terrible in every appearance.
  5. I woke up by mistake this morning and said "What the Hell? I should grab my iPad. " I'm kind of taken aback by the fact that I dislike Chris Jericho more every passing week. He does nothing offensive really. I'm just to the point where I don't want to see him. Ever. And the wrong guy went over. I thought the Diva match was perfectly acceptable wrestling. Nikki Bella is so much better than she was, and I really like the work of the other two. The Brock-Kofi match was exactly what it should have been. Bravo to Balor and Owens. Like someone else said, they took what I thought was a foregone conclusion - Balor winning the title - and made me doubt it and I still wasn't upset when they did the expected finish. Great match. The tag match was what it was. Work to the hot tag to Cena. It's a shame that Ziggler has lost "it", because he was one of the few accepted guys with the WWE crowd, but I just don't buy him as big time anymore. Good show. I'm glad I got up early.
  6. My 3 year old son was watching the Dusty tribute video at the beginning of Raw last night and started off saying he didn't like Dusty. Two minutes in, and he said "He's cool, Daddy." He sure is, baby. The post Raw Network tribute was tremendous. I'm a Cody mark, to be fair, but every time they show him inducting his old man and his voice cracks a little bit, I start to break down a bit. What an absolutely real, awesome, moment.
  7. I just watched the Cena-Owens match again (it came on after my son's bedtime last week) and wanted to see if maybe I was missing something. That match was amazing and Cena put Owens over huge. The next night in the promo, he put him over huge again. I'm seeing people on Twitter and a few guys here trying to bury Cena for Sunday/Monday. What the fuck. He's been the top guy for like 10 years and completely put this dude over two nights in a row. I don't know what else Cena is supposed to do.
  8. They're heels who think they're faces, plays into their persecution complex, sets up a clusterfuck brawl to promote EC. I'm trying to remember the circumstances when The Shield had to do the same thing a couple years ago. They finally get them over as heels and the WWE puts them in a position where they're completely outnumbered, almost forcing you as a fan to pull for them. It's fucking stupid.
  9. Christ, at the very least I thought kayfabe was still alive in NXT.
  10. My question, I guess, is how the fuck do you put the heels into a 3-on-10 handicap match? Did I miss something?
  11. Listened to the Flair podcast with Meltzer. While it was good, I'm a little weirded out that, with it having a host that isn't him, Flair seems like he'll be a guest on every one of his podcasts. That's a little weird.
  12. I think they should pretend it is banned and then sell it as death when he breaks it out like Lawler's piledriver in Memphis.
  13. Seriously, the main could have been the level of Flair-Steamboat, but the fucking nWo interfered for fucking Sting on this show.
  14. The main and the Undertaker Wyatt match were fucking crazy. While I didn't like the ending of the main, fuck was it good.
  15. Even by wrestling logic I'm confused by this show. The nWo interfered for Sting, who put over HHH in his first WWE match. The nWo. Interfered on Sting's behalf. Sting.
  16. This entire post, from start to finish, might be the greatest thing I've ever read on these internetz.
  17. Be honest. You weren't going to get through it without pot anyway, were you?
  18. Sting was awesome. He said "Fuck this WCW shit. I'm here to take down HHH." Of course, Stephanie came down, sucked all the heat out of the building, and said "My husband killed WCW". Sting still got the crowd back. I can't believe they didn't make a West Texas Rednecks reference with Axel, especially considering Master P and Snoop had an affiliation back in the day. That crowd hated Reigns. Hated. And WWE knew it, which is why he was on the show for three minutes total maybe.
  19. It's cute that Jericho thinks his band is getting gigs with Slash and Kiss because of anything other than his WWE fame.
  20. Also, good on WWE for putting Zbysko into the Hall of Fame. He's clearly a HOFer, and their HOF is a joke if he isn't in it.
  21. Brock Lesnar is fucking awesome. Vince should give him a blank check. Seriously. Orton turning on Sting would have stayed loyal to the established Sting character of 25 years or so. It is going to suck, though, when Sting jobs to HHH. I feel like I could watch Ambrose vs Stardust for 60 minutes easily, and I hope that is the feud we get coming out of Mania.
  22. Jericho was on Busted Open today (I know it's not his podcast, but whatever) and he mentioned that Reigns was "everybody's favorite" until the Royal Rumble. I'm thinking it isn't just McMahon that doesn't have the pulse of his fan base.
  23. So, Orton is going to beat Rollins and then Rollins is going to cash, right? Because Reigns is an afterthought at this point.
