    Dolph may have had a bad year, BUT, Kota is yet to prove to me that he's actually a real person, much less make me think a wrestling match is real for the duration of it. also I've seen him put knees up for elbow drops, frankensteiner people by the hair, do repeated snap german suplexes with a "weakened" "leg", and he keeps doing last rides like it doesn't make wrestling look less real than reality tv. He's been one of my least favorite wrestlers for years and years, and his now contractually ensured presence in New Japan bums me the hell out.

    Terrible's eternal feud with Rush is everything good about professional wrestling. At the same time I think the more notable stuff he's done this year has centered around his tag team with Tama Tonga, so here's both of those things happening at the same time.

    Devitt is maybe the worst heel I've ever seen. This is also considering that while Japanese juniorweight wrestling has a proud history of The Worst Heels I've Ever Seen (Kotaro Suzuki springs to mind) that even in the face of such consistantly terrible fucking heels, Devitt might still be the worst. On the flipside, I haven't watched a full episode of Impact since the first monday night show, and Aries sings in a buttrock band now. So I guess I have to vote for Devitt.

    Maybe I'm a jackass (it's entered my mind before), but I believe that you earn every missed opportunity that happens from buying electronics at launch. The premium you pay for is "me first," which is worth something in middle/high school.

    Pre-ordered it on PC this weekend. I appreciate how there's no, like, Digital Collectors Editions or anything like that. The thing I get for pre-ordering it is being able to just download it instead of argue with the store on a day of the week that's usually super busy for me. For no extra charge, even! I'm excited to be the worst titan pilot on earth. Although apparently a later perk lets your auto-deployed titan use its special weapons when appropriate, so maybe at that point I'll just use it as a roaming sentry thing. We'll see. Right now I'm still committed to shotgunning fools.

    A review of Dark Souls II has appeared in a European magazine. The larger point is that it details how co-op multiplayer works. Seeing the Souls games are about discovery, I'm gonna spoiler tag this one. The non-spoiler version is "it's exactly as convoluted as you think it would be."

    Titanfall is 6v6 for design, not for "limitations." The maps would not be able to hold more than 12 titans without severely impacting how fun it would be to use them. Even in one of the beta maps, all twelve titans being deployed caused a lot of traffic issues, as they would crowd the hotspots and make it hard for people to maneuver smoothly and effectively. The general scale of the maps is that when on foot you're dealing with three-to-four levels with variance between indoor and outdoor areas. Once you're in the titan, the maps is limited to one or two of those areas, outdoors. That way the human players can maneuver around them to high ground or recessed low ground and compete with them without risking a face to face confrontation that they would lose basically immediately. If you're worried about not having enough dudes to shoot, the map gets populated with minor AIs that engage in little dynamic sequences (think the staircase melee fight from the Call of Duty 4 campaign) that you can influence. Killing these minor AIs shorten the amount of time remaining until you can call your titan. Just... go watch the game get played if you think that 16 vs. 16 or 32 vs 32 is practical in that game. ALSO: Kind of insane that a game cant self-impose limits to make it feel different than other games! Kind of insane that that's considered a strike against it! BACK TO TALKING ABOUT DESTINY NOW: it looks really cool, but I need at least five games I feel I NEED to play before I commit to the PS4, and I'm probably boxing up my 360 soon.
