Would it be cool if I participated in the discussions but didn't have a book suggestion? All I've read for the last few years is philosophy and things shaped like political manifestos, so I don't have any good recommendations otherwise and I don't want to force anyone to deal with that stuff.

OH GOSH BONUS STREAM
NPR- I think her last album is absolutely brilliant, clever, and incredibly impressive given my usual distrust of whimsical pop shit. I think it will take quite a while for me to have a coherent opinion of this record.
1. Find a New Way
2. Water Fountain
3. Time of Dark
4. Real Thing
5. Look Around
6. Hey Life
7. Sink-O
8. Why Do We Dine on the Tots?
9. Stop That Man
10. Wait for a Minute
11. Left Behind
12. Rocking Chair13. Manchild

Dark Souls 2 can eat me.
EDIT: Now that I'm a day removed, allow me to be more articulate.
I don't regret the purchase, and I knew what I was in for. The first thing they ever said about the game was "yeah, we're making it so you're fighting a bunch of dudes all the time." It is exactly what they said it would be and it is exactly as infuriating as I expected it would be.

From Wikipedia's article on Hanatarash, the former band of EYE of the Boredoms
Some of the band's most infamous shows included Eye cutting a dead cat in half with a machete, strapping a circular saw to his back and almost cutting his leg off, and destroying part of a venue with a backhoe bulldozer by driving it through the back wall and onto the stage

Chad's a favorite of mine. I endorse his whole back catalog: just full of just surreal songwriting excellence. Although I'll say that Shrink Dust is a more roots music kind of affair than the rest of his stuff.

Death Grips w/ Beyonce & Robert Pattinson
and some teen wolf dude, I think? regardless, yeah, that picture is magnificent. zach hill can barely contain his confusion.

you know those flash toys/iphone apps that are like a big touch screen matrix and when you touch squares they play notes? And then a time line will scan across and it'll hit those notes, and you'll have a little song without having to learn theory or anything like that?
Okay, now what if you played an adventure game that happens underneath the little square thing that as you progressed, you slowly powered up the little square thing to do stuff like chords and play multiple patterns in a row?
FRACT OSC: now on steam.
(i am enjoying it, to be clear.)

Just got a bunch of grant money for SDSU. Hit me up if you want to get emotional to big blurry rap songs.
Still alive, so I gotta be the chosen one...

Mr. Belding, Batista, pizza, a gun, and possibly prostitutes. Best party ever!
There's no joke I could possibly make that would match the what-the-fuckery of this picture, so all I can do is stare at it in absolute awe.
welcome to being an action bronson fan. it's weird.
(that's bronsolino in the center with the pizza and the piece)

I was going to post this in the dad zone thread but that seems like more of a positive, helpful, cohort-like thing than anyone who needs to hear what I'm going to say.
I have this friend, and we talk basically every day. Today she had to talk to her father about him claiming her as a dependent (she is absolutely not). So I sit down to watch Dallas @ Anaheim to see if I can successfully will the fucking Disney Ducks out of the Stanley Cup. I make it to the end of the second period when my IM goes off. Turns out that the conversation went so well that he told her he never wants to see her again. This is because of maybe $1000.
So FUCK you If you're a father and you think you are capable of saying a thing like that under any circumstance other than malicious, destructive antagonism. You deserve every kind of cancer you fear.

MC Ride, Death Grips
Daveed Diggs, clipping.
Carla Bozulich
Boog Brown
Hellfyre Club
I was gonna post an Antwon picture but I'm probably just gonna fill this thread with Antwon pictures once his new album is out. He's just too cute to share a post with anyone.

remember when the discussion thread was called the omnibus thread
and before that, how it was called the "comments that don't warrant their own thread" threadI dont know why ian rotten stiffing someone on pay reminded me of that
just can't seem to figure it out- 7

Then there was the weird Future feature spot.
Future's Dungeon Family, so, not that weird. Although I did have to look that up after I heard it.
It's also worth noting that the people on Coachella's mixer boards are notorious dillweeds. Andre was probably expecting professionalism, bless his heart.
-
This will be too late by the time anyone sees it, but I'd just like to say that Outkast's set at Coachella has been the most surreal meltdown I've seen in years. I think the reason it's been so long since a new Outkast album might actually be that Andre hates all of us.

Tabe is wrong. Anyways.
2) I am really bad at this. It never feels like it's cheating, it just feels like I suck. Took me four tries to pass the first non-tutorial mission.
If it makes you feel any better, this feeling never went away and I made it to the end of the early access progression. Every time I passed a mission, "I can't believe that worked."
It will get slightly easier when you start getting different ammo types. I wish I could tell you what I learned through my months of playing but I am currently drunk and they wiped my save anyways. So I guess the surface level version is "constantly stress test the gun construction system."

I think only BL88 will like this, but the new album by Bernays Propaganda is really great. They are a punk band from Macedonia with female vocals that's loud but very dancy. They are on your with Ghost Mice right now, and I think will end up working back across the country with High Dive. All three of those bands are fun live shows and worth your time if they pop up in your town.
Gang of Four as fuck in here. I am basically always down for that.

My personal favorite match for both guys.

Favorite Norton match. Basically Hash had my favorite match of almost everyone he wrestled. Yamazaki, Takada, Mutoh...

Zeke in the back part of WWECW was pretty good w/ Regal & Kozlov, but it seemed like the clock was ticking when Cesaro and Big E (both are younger and better with the same gimmick) came up, and then once Bray started using his finish as a cutoff spot it seemed like it was going to be sooner than later. Just unlucky to get hurt when he did.

It gave us the "Mr America" lie detector segment. Possibly my favourite Hogan moment of all time (if it was indeed the Hulkster).
"NO NO NO NO NO."

RE: Irsay.
This is America. No shock he's getting off light, he's a white millionaire. It sucks but it's not surprising.
What IS surprising is that noted disciplinarian Roger Goodell hasn't dropped a Conduct Detrimental to the NFL bomb on him. By surprising, I mean hypocritical and absurd. But hey, Richard Sherman gets overly excited. And Jimmy Graham broke a goal post. These things are both way worse for the Shield.
Ray Rice punched his girlfriend out and dragged her unconscious body from a elevator. What is this country coming to???
the same country but with cameras everywhere?

DJ Rashad blew my fucking mind last year and just inspired me to start rethinking about how I approach my own compositions and highlighting a middle ground between dance-able and technical that made sense. Not ready for this. Damn. Rest in peace.
