  1. Suits is just completely ridiculous now, if this were a real law firm, they would have gone out of business years ago over how unstable the management team is. Also, apparent on my 70-inch OLED TV, the actress who plays Donna is now wearing gobs of makeup to hide her freckles/clear up her complexion.
  2. The Jim Crockett Jr. "Authority Figure Who Books Matches 'Because The Fans Demanded It.'"
  3. God, I'm really starting to worry that Ted 2 is going to be steamrolled by Jurassic World and bomb.
  4. http://watchthecomic.com/comic/keep-it-casual/#sthash.rJJ7FxVp.dpbs Watch Your Head creator Cory Thomas has had a pretty ugly meltdown over the last two years. His comic originally debuted in newspapers in 2006, seen as a replacement for The Boondocks, focusing on an extremely nerdy college student named Cory and his misadventures at a Historically Black College. Thomas bristled in interviews and on Facebook over criticism that Cory and his friends were unfunny, obnoxious, and in the cases of Omar (Black Militant), Quincy (Hip-Hop loving Ladies Man and "Get Rich Quick" scheme hustler) and Jason (wannabe gangbanger), reinforcements of negative black stereotypes. He started shedding newspapers in 2010 and responded by trying some character development, giving Cory a girlfriend and toning down Jason's presence, but eventually killed off Cory's girlfriend and brought back Jason with a vengeance. He finally ended the newspaper version of Watch Your Head last August and tried to reboot it as a webcomic with the idea that he would be supported by Patreon payments from his readers. In the new version Cory was completely absent and the main character was white (which leads to tons of Unfortunate Implications). In January he admitted that he was having to work multiple part-time jobs to pay the bills, and finally last month admitted that he was getting only 200 unique views for each comic and he would no longer be updating the comic on any sort of regular basis as he tried to get back into syndication or some other art gig that paid. Sad, as he is a very talented artist.
  5. It really saddens me when I look at Dan Patrick's Youtube channel: "Nick Swarsdon in studio, Frank Caliendo in studio, Ray Liotta in studio." His ESPN show, from 2004 when they finally fired the awful Rob Dibble to his sign-off in 2007, was easily the best sports talk radio show. Dan and Phil the Showkiller had amazing chemistry, and the Danettes were not on-air personalities so it was just Dan talking sports and his ESPN overlords kept the non-sports talk to a minimum. Now Dan is gone for half the year, making camoes in whatever racist movie Adam Sandler is starring in, the Danettes dominate the show rather than remain off-air/camera and feed Dan jokes, there is maybe ONE sports-related guest per day. Ugh.
  6. Going through the archives here, I notice some of you have a hatred of Mike Salk. Here's a clip from Tuesday's show where Keith Law is the guest and absolutely buries Mariners GM Jack Zduriencik and Salk and Brock Huard desperately try to defend Zduriencik and absolutely fail as Law just keeps on burying him. http://mynorthwest.com/category/pod_player_sports/?a=9988852&p=1007&n=Brock%20and%20Salk
  7. I do hope that once Bill Simmons' contract expires, he does like he did during his last contract dispute and starts re-publishing his old Digital City stuff. I've been desperately trying to find a copy of the Running Diary he did while listening to WEEI for 12 hours straight, and the "Boston Police Blotter" article where he talked about all the Stupid Sports Moments in Boston history, like when the fans ripped the goalposts out of the old Foxboro Stadium, hit a power line, and killed a fan. His AOL Digital City stuff was so far ahead of the crap he's been pumping out over the last decade.
  8. The Dan Patrick Show with Phil "The Showkiller" Ceppaglia went off the air on August 17th, 2007, actually.
  9. Central Florida's AD resigns to take over at Oregon State, George O'Leary will serve as "acting" AD (in addition to still being HC) for the remainder of 2015.
  10. Oh my God, that was such a cruel, cruel, cruel way to end this week's Nagato Yuki-chan.
  11. Are they going to publish two different Spider-Man titles concurrently, one with Peter and one with or is Peter going into hibernation for a year or two? As recently as March, Slott was talking as if he's be writing a Peter Parker Spider-Man title after Battleworld/Secret Wars. Did Slott not know he was off the title, or was he trying to emulate Vince Russo and work the fans?
