  1. Not to say TRTs weren't incredibly shady and it's good they're gone, but that article seems to be very carefully written to avoid saying that Belfort's tests were high, but within the legal limit. Jon Jones never broke any rules and punishing him for breaking nonexistent rules would have been a massive legal liability for the UFC.
  2. Great win for Lawlor! His status as the best fighter in the history of DVDVR posters remains unchallenged.
  3. From the looks of it, he spent both weeks just training to escape that guillotine. Mendes set that up perfectly and the next second Connor was gone.
  4. "Gay Jesus" is going to go down in history. Great job by Romero to throw away all that good will I had for him after that KO in a few seconds.
  5. There's zero chance this case ever makes it to a jury and I can't imagine him serving more than token jail time when he cops a plea.
  6. My impression is that he's looking at a misdemeanor and I can't imagine UFC hitting him with anything beyond a token fine for that. What a lucky guy.
  7. It's kind of awkwardly written, but I think the "administrative oversight" was that he was tested for substances of abuse at all. And if Jones was not informed he was being tested for drugs of abuse, UFC would likely be on very, very shaky legal ground punishing him for testing positive for them.
  8. Both weed and coke are only banned in competition (I've read conflicting things about the precise definition of when that is, but it's somewhere between a week and 12 hours to fight time). Everyone who has been punished for marijuana failed in competition.
  9. I guess he talked less than Rashad and offered more of a fight. But man, Jones is a hard person to hurt, especially with his reach and the ever present threat of an eye poke.
  10. Since House of Wolves and The Dark Below are Playstation timed exclusives, I will probably be telling this game to go fuck itself for a while once I level up all three clasess to 20 and finish the storyline with my Hunter, The Ghostface Killer. The expansions are being released simultaneously on all systems. They will have Playstation exclusive content, but it'll probably be as slight as the exclusive content on the main game.
  11. Octodad, Marlowe Briggs, and The Sims 3 on an absolute whim for me.
  12. Why did Chael think he could get away with outright lying about Keith Kizer in front of the California commission? He's definitely one of those guys who thinks everyone around them is so stupid they'll believe anything. It finally caught up to him.
  13. If only there was still some shady third rate promotion that would be willing to hold a Silva-Sonnen "juiced to the gills" fight in an unregulated country somewhere . . .
  14. Gunpoint is really, really fun. Not my GOTY, but I'd understand why it's someone else's.
  15. I loved, loved Brothers. Beautiful art and a story that seamlessly blends the mechanics of the game with its emotional core. Be warmed, though, that it is the type of game that people either love or hate - the control scheme is so unique that it can be really, really clunky.
  16. The art is simple, but it isn't bad. And the game is utterly charming. It's definitely worth a look.
  17. If 2K wanted to still employ those employees, I'm sure they'd still be employed. Just because Ken Levine didn't want to make Bioshock for the rest of his life doesn't make him culpable for 2K's decisions.
  18. My understanding is that even though EA is publishing the game, Microsoft is providing the servers.
  19. "Still. Not. Bitten." I can't imagine any game this year making me smile more than that.
