  1. Yeah, that right there is a damn fine deal.
  2. This one works and gotdayum: https://vine.co/v/MxAzVTd2PMj
  3. The Abstract as an NBA source is some strange shit.
  4. That makes sense but they lose him for nothing if they don't move him this year. Not an ideal bargaining position. This is such a great story, though. I feel so good for the people of Northeast Ohio and the way he announced the move was just so professionally done. Congrats JRGoldman and supremebve.
  5. Would the Cavs be able to get Love without Wiggins going the other way? I would looooove to see Wiggins learn from LeBron and those two work their defensive magic on the opposition with Love picking up rebound after rebound. Waiters, Bennett, and picks sounds like an awful deal for the T'wolves.
  6. He was a contrarian, so he'd likely have done his best to no sell it or say we won't finish in the top 4. I'll miss the goofy bastard, but I won't miss the drama. I think we'd be better served moving away from the 4-4-2 narrow diamond we settled into last season and move back to a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, particularly with European football back on the plate. Don't think good continental sides will be as naive and easily countered with speed as the likes of Norwich were (see the Chelsea match). So, with the upcoming purchases of Markovic (dose eyebrows doe!) and Origi (don't know if he's being loaned back to Lille), our spending this summer will be in the 65-70m range. I wonder how much of the Suarez money will be invested or how much will be covering those purchases. It seems like quite a few players will be sold as well with the likes of Agger, Lucas, Aspas (somebody take him, please!), Assaidi, and a few others on the way out.
  7. Not really a fan of Shorthouse, as he strikes me as a similar guy as Gord Miller, unquestioning company men that subtly push narratives their bosses want pushed. He's way better at it than clumsy Miller is, but there's something about him that seems fake and I dislike it. I know pretty much 99% of pbp announcers are company men these days but at least Hughson was genuine with his bias (and unabashed). I suppose the fact that I feel this way about Shorty makes me enjoy the picture all the more. "So, that's what he's really like!" Am I the only one who thinks Hughson's quality of calls has dropped since moving to CBC? Just seems like he's forcing it more than he used to on the regional broadcasts.
  8. And fuck VC by the way. I hate this microtransaction bullshit culture popping up in the last five years. Your success in these modes is like 50/50 skill/VC. Lame.
  9. You mean like Total Extreme Wrestling? I'm on windows 8 and it runs nicely.
  10. That is some serious depressing shit.
  11. Yeah, he's been following the national team all over the place the last 20 years. He's a legend.
  12. Yeah, but then he gave the cup to a German supporter.Pretty awesome.
  13. It's more difficult to score goals away from home than at home (for example, Man Utd was the only team to score fewer home goals than away goals last season). I love the rule and how ties can flip on their head in an instant.
  14. John Shorthouse was clearly intoxicated at the Canucks season ticket holder event yesterday. Cannot stop laughing at this.
  15. The Guardian's podcast and Football Ramble are both good. Ramble makes a lot of offhand comments and refer to old school stuff a new fan of club football may not get (sometimes I don't get what they're referring to) but their ramble profiles at the end of each episodes are great and they're genuinely funny dudes having a good time talking shit about footy. The Guardian's podcast (Football Weekly) is way more accessible but can be a bore after a while.
  16. Class of the Brazilian fans to applaud after Schürrle's second. A fine mixture of terrific interplay among German attackers and brutal, brutal defensive pressure and coverage from Brazilian defenders. Thiago Silva has been the best CB on the planet for a few years now and today reinforces just how crucial he is. This entire Brazilian team (bar Silva and Neymar) will be Barbosas for the rest of their lives. Unlike him, though, they'll be filthy rich and live wherever they want.
  17. The tag match is my favourite of all matches. Just shows how great of a story you can tell with the extra dimension of a teammate. Ridiculous drama. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
  18. That hair is fucking glorious. That must be what the title is for.
  19. It's so intrusive, just horrifying. I don't think those Liverpool shirts are near as bad as last year's were and for away and third kits would take them gladly after some of the stuff we've had. Reminder: Warrior has been a massive flop in terms of the actual products they've been producing. I dig the Zenit shirts. Edit: ah, piss! I forgot that these are the away kits: That grey/white shirt is the third GK shirt.
  20. He's 30 and is not the dynamic player we need in the mold of Suarez (like a Sanchez). He's a poacher, a great poacher but I think our team might be better off looking for something else.
  21. That's the fee the Spanish press are throwing about, whereas Liverpool have leaked to the British press the release clause somewhere around £75m is what they've accepted. None of it makes any sense if they're trying to get Sanchez, though, as that would surely alter the fee. Lot of horseshit. The idea of going from Luis Suarez to Klaas-Jan Huntelaar makes me want to throw up in my mouth a little. Hopefully it's paper bullshit, too.
  22. He plays deeper than those two, Illarramendi would go out on loan and Khedira would be sold. Kroos would probably split games with Modric and/or Xabi. I don't thin it makes much sense either but they could make it work.
  23. He's getting paid good money for another two years due to a 54 game stretch with the Knicks.
  24. This is good shit. Colombia is really bringing it after conceding early. This has a few more goals in it.
