Very disappointed that the fight got broken up after one punch. Even more disappointing than Gragson's haircut.

Charly Arnolt/Caruso left ESPN for Clay Travis and his Outkick platform, because she has things to say about transgender athletes that ESPN would not let her say.

Gordlow has completed his heel turn, guys. A sad day.
Yet again, Americans treat a Canadian badly, and then call him standing up for what he believes in a heel turn.

No quarter hour breakdowns need be taken to mean too much of anything, but Q7 bucking the trend that hard followed by a 110k drop is fun. Everyone speculate wildly!

Jets went out with a wimper last night, coach blasted the effort of the star players. Should be time to blow it up, but who the fuck knows what they are going to do.
-
Oh, "beloved" Valour FC lost to a semi-pro team in the Canadian Championship last night.

Or at the very least Football Manager fantasies.
Norwich has the nicest jerseys, they can come back up. Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Swansea can all piss off.

Bunting's hit deserved a match penalty. Can't believe anyone is trying to defend that.
Jets played great and won game 1 in Vegas last night. Sleepy, but happy at work today.

Is bet365 a thing in the States? bet365 Canada had every NFL and MLB game available last season, and you only needed to keep money in your account. I have left a penny in my account for the last five years so I can watch some European soccer leagues that they stream.

Newest Talk is Jericho is an interview with Devin Bray, the promoter of Winnipeg Pro Wrestling. It’s not the only indie in Winnipeg, but it’s definitely the hottest, I go to all their shows and you need to buy the tickets for the next show as soon as they go on sale during intermission, because they will be gone by the next day.
Interesting look to running a modern indie and the logistics of getting talent in, especially with how isolated Winnipeg is (nearby Minneapolis is an 8 hour drive). Also being a relative outsider, as him and his partners were really just wrestling super fans (they were regulars at PCW shows going back like 15 years) and the balance between being respectful of wrestling tradition and also not being viewed as a money mark.
Release coincides with a show they’re having away from their usual home this Saturday, instead happening at the Manitoba Museum.
I love WPW, so it was a really interesting listen
I used to listen to Korba's UMFM show/podcast forever.

In the "This Is Fucked Up" department: Right now the suspended match between Melbourne City and Melbourne Victory is being resumed from the point it was abandoned after Victory supporters stormed the pitch and assaulted the City keeper with a flare bucket that left him seriously injured. And to make it even worse is that they allowed Victory supporters in and they are jeering the goalie they assaulted any time he touches the ball. I have no idea how this was not declared a forfeit victory for City. I despise anything to do with any branch of the bloo shit empire but for the only time in my life I am rooting for City to clobber a team.
Shameful.

I may be slightly drunk, but the was the show of the year. Rhea vs Charlotte fucking ruled, the storytelling in the main event is on par with Kenny/Hangman vs the Young Bucks, Mysterio vs Dom was great.
Fuck man, does WWE rule?
They have done a really good job building stories for most of the big matches. It's almost as if they went back to the Pat Patterson days where you book the main angles out a year in advance.
-
Night one was outstanding. Everyone who should have went over did, and they all went over strong. Really nice to see Rhea/Charlotte and the main event not have any outside interference involved.

Legend lost to Valentina Feroz on Level Up last night. I don't think she's getting called up. Mensah has worked Level Up recently as well.
I didn't realize they were running a match on the pre-show, so I missed that match. Really wish they found something better for the Grizzled Young Vets to do.
Thought it was a really fun show. Very surprised they took the belt off of Perez already. I will second the statement about how improved Stratton has gotten in the ring.
They have a lot of main roster ready acts in NXT right now. Will be interesting to see who comes to the main roster in the next couple of months.

Rodgers will 100% make the Jets better compared to last year, only question is just how much will it cost them and will they formulate a plan in case he retires next offseason. Otherwise its just a one year playoff revival and back to where they were.
Agreed. If Green Bay wants two #1 picks, no chance. Maybe this is the year Zach Wilson actually tries to become an NFL quarterback?
-
I can't believe they are going to Fargo to play. That's amazing!
When was the last time a FBS school played a road game against an FCS school?

Not going back to find the rest of the Jets talk to quote, but they went 7-10 last season, and had three games (both New England games* and the Miami game in week 18) where if they got average quarterback play, they win all three games and make the playoffs. Aaron Rodgers isn't the same quarterback he used to be, but he's still an above average quarterback. Unless he regresses like Russell Wilson the Denver Bronco did, the Jets become a team fighting for playoffs in 2023.
* Zach Wilson threw for over 300 yards in the first Patriots game, but he also threw three interceptions that led to six points for NE, and NE won the game by 5.
If I was the GM, I would be trying to get Lamar as well, but I am not the GM.

Plus, it was Liverpool, not Arsenal. And they basked in the glory of their victory by losing to 20th placed Bournemouth.

The best thing was after he made it back to pit road and he proclaimed "What are they going to do? Fine me? I can't afford to pay it".
Denny Hamlin apparently paid his fine.
