  1. Comoroto's Wikipedia page says he was released as part of COVID-related budget cuts in April. Bononi's Wikipedia says he was released on April 17, so presumably for the same reason.
  2. I feel like there's a decade-old Inception meme about this. No rush at all. Take care of stuff that actually matters, my nonsense will still be here later.
  3. I'd go full troll at this point and set up a scenario where the male supporting characters only exist so that the film fails a reverse Bechdel test.
  4. Look at you, trying to turn our love of Seinfeld back on us. Very good! So with regards to good takes vs bad takes, what's your idealized version of a space for conversation? Because universal agreement on what is a good or bad take is unachievable in any practical way with a property this large on a board dedicated to discussing professional wrestling in the English language. I know we'd all probably like to maximize our exposure to "interesting, amusing, valid, constructive, conversation-generating" takes and limit our exposure to things which are "lazy, counterproductive, or pissing in the wind." But one person's lazy and counterproductive may be another's constructive, valid or amusing. You're never going to resolve that. And you yourself having acknowledged that you think "most" takes on here are "interesting, amusing, valid, constructive, conversation-generating, or whatever," isn't this entire exercise a kind of futile effort to solve something even you tacitly acknowledge isn't a great problem on this board? Shouldn't you be able to take that "relatively rare" bad take in stride, engage with it in conversation, or simply ignore it? Because by your framing of the issue, I see no reason for a discussion that seeks to push people toward a discourse that more universally fits your version of "good takes." And bans aren't going to be issued for just plain old "bad takes," so... I just wonder what's to be gained from going down this path (as much as I'm enjoying it). There are a lot of what I consider bad takes offered up on this board by people whose posts I generally enjoy reading. I'm happy to engage with some of those takes and even have a back and forth. That's fun. But I'm not sure what would be gained by trying to make the conversation at large more closely adhere to my standard for "good takes."
  5. Yes, it's really unfortunate how much pleasure some people get from nitpicking and talking stuff down.
  6. Which Pedro apparently attempted to set her right on. Dude’s gotta be pretty patient.
  7. What about the AEW World yada yada yada championship?
  8. Never let it be said that predictable booking with an obvious outcome can't draw.
  9. Future GHC champion expertly wearing down the inner thigh of Tanahashi.
  10. Quick, somebody plump Cody up with a few bags of John Cena blood! Stat!
  11. I liked the commentary building up PAC as one of the few people to beat Omega. It's easy to forget how good his record is considering how lost in the shuffle he seems at times. But PAC's only ever been beaten in singles competition in AEW by Page, Moxley, and twice by Omega. Gotta figure he's in the title mix before long, and the commentary did a good job during PAC's match of making that seem reasonable. Good call on those who noticed the QT thing. I missed it, but watching back it was pretty clearly intentional. Of course after a Peter Avalon enhancement match that went through a break, I was splitting my attention with my phone. When I say there are places they can nip or tuck some things on these shows to maybe make room for a promo for another act, this match going this long is what I've got in mind. I hope for their sake they end up selling a boatload of Sting action figures. Otherwise, they're doing a fine job killing seemingly most people's excitement about him.
  12. Oh yeah, Excalibur got me to blurt laugh. "Sting is in hot pursuit!" Sure, bud.
  13. Sammy entering through the "heel" tunnel then hesitating and exiting through the "face" tunnel was good stuff. Perhaps too cute by half, but good.
  14. And they had a perfect ending right there a couple minutes earlier. Darby counterd into the stunner and Joey landed in position for a coffin drop, and I thought he was going to go for it. Could have ended it right there with a solid bout that didn't give Janela too much. Instead, Darby rolled into the cover and they were off to the races with counters. Oh well.
  15. Forward progress with Sammy? A Jungle Boy promo? Adam Page actually doing something? I'm clearly Tony's key demo. Y'all got any of them tables with locking wheels in Jacksonville? I was a little nervous there for Mox and Kenta, even with the ref steadying them.
  16. Who's the largest person Kenny's had a one-on-one match against in AEW? Seeing him in there with Archer and recently with Moose made me realize it's probably been a while since he really had a go with a big fella. It took three people to get him up for the OWA. What kind of champion is that? Make the match!
  17. Yeah, I saw those. Emma Caulfield is in the comments on Charisma's Instragram as well. And Nicholas Brendon liked one of the posts.
  18. I know we've been through this with Joss a few times already, but is this the first time Sarah's publicly thrown him under the bus?
  19. Looks like it's specifically movie characters What If-ing off of stuff that's already happened in the MCU. Lots of big actors/characters confirmed: Hemsworth, Boseman, Rudd, Ruffalo, Brolin, Michael B Jordan, Karen Gillan, Michael Douglas, and on down the list to Neal McDonough, who I completely forgot was even in one of these movies. Apparently Ironman, Strange, and Caps both America and Marvel will all be involved, but as of now the show's Wikipedia doesn't confirm any of those respective characters' actors' involvement.
  20. The broad strokes of this have been known for years. IIRC, when she says "unceremoniously fired," she means nobody from the show told her she wasn't coming back for season five and she found out when someone in the press called. She then signed a contract to come back for one episode on the condition that they not kill off her character. Which they then did anyway. Joss is a real trash person.
  21. I doubt Cody has the time to listen to ARN. You should probably warn him directly before it's too late.
  22. After alternate timeline Loki, a show of animated hypotheticals sounds like a great point to dip out my sub. Maybe catch it later if anything sounds decent. But since phase four is getting weird, what are the chances stuff from What If? factors into the movies?
