Will never understand being anti-musical, but they seem to be leaning away from it

Excited to continue to support the Lady Gaga movie star project. Do I need to watch Joker to understand Joker 2?

Said the same of Punk: none of these people have been saying enough in public and it’s refreshing and demystifying to hear them do so. Waive the NDAs for All Out and let everyone put their cards on the table. People will move on. It’s fine.

Jay White is orbiting around the peripheral. I get the feeling they're waiting for Juice Robinson to come back to push Bullet Club to the forefront.
Jay’s on the back burner because visa issues would prevent him from working in Canada.

I hate how difficult it is for me to conjure an answer to those questions.

I'm tired of CM Punk. He talks too goddamn much.
Counterpoint: None of these people talk nearly enough and it’s refreshing finally hearing one of them speak frankly in public about any of this shit. This is newsworthy because as much as we assume this guy feels this way, he’s never said any of this in public (not in print, on video with his own voice) since the big incident because he hardly does media. He doesn’t talk too much. This stuff has festered and grown a life of its own, and it’s demystifying to hear it actually addressed. I wish the rest of the parties involved would do the same. I wish there wasn’t an NDA in place so that shit could be demystified too.

I immediately think less of people that take anything Punk says at face value. We have like 2 decades of obvious examples that it's a dumb idea.
Shit, just last week he was on TV saying he isn’t terminally online. So many lies!

I'm watching Twitter clips of this right now. It's exactly what I said it was. Punk airing out every bit of dirty laundry he has about the Jungle Boy situation and then firing little childish digs at Tony Khan about how to run a business.
Woah, people are clipping the seemingly inflammatory stuff and not all the other parts where he was talking about stuff like how Vince wouldn’t have yet him TV with grey in his beard? No wonder everyone is so fired up!

He wished everyone well, why are people so upset? He was just being polite and not no-commenting Ariel for ninety minutes! He knows Ariel doesn’t like that!

They surely knew Helwani was going to ask about this stuff before they let the dog off the leash. And really, not a lot we didn’t already know or assume (aside from that stuff about his last tricep surgery).

Man, the Rock is a legitimate movie star being the single biggest asshole heel imaginable. Dude has absolutely nothing to gain from being in WrestleMania at all.
After Black Adam flopping and some Dwayne fatigue setting in, retreating to things people used to like him for and re-upping his relationship with that audience is actually pretty smart. He gained a lot from it when he did it with Cena. And between lucking into this heel stuff that people seem to be responding to, and doing a Benny Safdie A24 movie I get the sense people like him getting out of his comfort zone of the last decade or so. He seems to be gaining a lot out of this.
And he still plays it safe by saying he’s playing a heel when he goes on Kimmel.

Aside from that, I really enjoyed Dynamite. I was a moronic doubter about Okada clicking on weekly American TV. But he’s smart and the audience is bought in. Happy to be wrong. I think Ibou of WP said he heard from someone in WWE creative (if I’m recalling this incorrectly, I apologize) that the pitch for him there was Gunther with subtitles, which sounded better than anything I could imagine AEW doing with him given the pace of these shows and how quickly things get moved on from segment by segment. My mistake, this rules so far.
Some awkward moments in the Hook-Jericho match, but the right result and I’m glad they’ve followed up on Hook vs Joe. Hope this doesn’t go sideways like so much Jericho stuff.
Bring on the E&C tag run in the near future.

For some former WWE talent it takes a bit to get acclimated to AEW’s way of doing promos and stories. Mercedes, Saraya, Cope, Christian, Miro, and I’m imagining hundreds more that makes my point not stupid.
She pitched to a video package in a show-opening promo. I might as well be watching pandemic-era Raw. What a strange choice.

That’s not fair. For all of Tony’s flaws, who’s cutting 45-minute promos on his air?
