Portia was one of my favorites in those days, and from what little I caught of her on commentary, I knew it would be good. My SHIMMER peak was summer 2008, when I went to the 19/20 tapings. I finally got to meet my girl MsChif, who was still the champ, and I got to take a picture with Rain (who charged me $5 to use my own camera!). The matches were great, and I never enjoyed SHIMMER more than that day.

I've never seen Scarface. I went on Vudu the other night to rent it, and it was only $6.99 to buy. So now I own it. It's time I watched it. Maybe tonight. . .

WCWSN 4/4/92 - they're interviewing Ron Simmons. What I want to know is: Who's on Jesse's shirt? Missy Hyatt? Madusa? It looks gloriously trashy.

I think the fact that the ECW mutant smarks went crazy for Sid just shows how much "IT" he has. I'll bet, too, that if I asked my youngest brother - who would have been about 12 in the mid-90s and who only saw wrestling through cultural osmosis - he would remember Sid better than anyone. I think we have had that discussion.

I just watched this match the other night, which is why I started the Sid talk. Somehow, I missed the "SID" pyro name. ? That's the greatest thing ever.

Back when I was watching a lot of early SHIMMER, it was Prazak and Allison Danger. I recall enjoying their work. But then, you've been talking about 2003-ish. I was watching the SHIMMER shows from around 2005-09.

So much chills on that DBry clip. The other day, I was re-watching Kirk Gibson's 1988 home run and loving the fact that Scully knew to shut up and let the moment be. Well, someone told Cole the same thing here. He says almost nothing in 4+ minutes of footage. And you have to hand it to Bryan and Bray - the timing with the crowd was perfect as they stood there and faced off. Wait too long, and the crowd gets bored. Go too soon, and you're not as intense as you could be. Perfect crowd control.

Not long ago, I complained that as much as I liked her, Becky's WWE self lacked charisma. Not anymore. Now Becky just keeps fulfilling all the potential we saw back in the SHIMMER days, getting better and better. And I am loving it.

While watching (and enjoying) Sid vs Michaels Survivor Series ‘96, I was reading Sid’s wiki page. He’s been married to same woman since 1983. Pretty impressive for anyone, especially in this business. Anyone interacted with him? Nice guy?

What the hell was Vince thinking with the fake Bill Clinton at Survivor Series ‘95? It’s not funny at all. And every segment feels endless.

So it was Nia who f'd up Becky's nose? ? Turned out to be worth it. The segment has so much more impact this way. Bloody Becky beating Ronda with the chair is the most badass thing that's been on WWE tv in years. Great character moment afterwards, when Becky is going back up into the arena. She totally no-sells some dude who wants a high-five.

This is an old post. But I just have to say these uniforms are so awful that they circle all the way back around to awesome. I am a fan.

Same here. Youtube on roku is my channel surfing when I don't have something else in mind. Plus, the premium comes with ability to play in background on my phone, as well as ability to download for offline listening. I use all of these things plus the music features.
