  1. The Beast in Heat is very silly. Mostly boring, with some amusing scenes. The beast is just a 5 foot tall hairy dude whi likes eating pubic hair and the torture scene includes a woman being eaten by rats, which are just two very confused guinea pigs sitting in fake blood on her torso. It's basically two movies spliced together, there's a whole resistance subplot that uses footage from another movie. I'm not recommending it, but I'm also not not recommending it
  2. Inside Days Here Nimic is my CIA activation phrase
  3. God, please give us the Zaneaissance. We need it.
  4. Rocket only had one punt return in the NFL period. With Dallas in 2001 and he went for 20 yards. He returned punts in his 2 CFL seasons and had one touchdown each year
  5. He just wants his country back
  6. One of the two non-Packers jerseys I own is a throwback Buccs creamsicle. Its a Legarrette Blount from some season he was there and they busted them out. The other is a blue Warren Moon Oilers jersey
  7. My absolute favourite part of The Fury is Kirk Douglas spending an entire scene disguising himself as an old man; greying his hair, pulling his pants above his waist, stuffing a pillow in them to look like he has a gut, but getting immediately clocked as soon as he steps outside by the guys looking for him
  8. And yet it seems like far and away the most conventional movie Guy has ever made. I'm really looking forward to seeing it
  9. Stade Olympique?
  10. I have no problem with the Chiefs having had their dynasty, but don't want them to win anymore. That said, it would be pretty funny if Mahomes immediately blows by Brady in Super Bowls won
  11. Because of the Joker sequel I now know the term "humiliation ritual" and am cackling at all the people freaking out on twitter
  12. Another good one to go into blind is The Empty Man. It's on Disney+, maybe other services. One of my favourite recent horrors
  13. I love that movie so much. Also wrote Up! and Beneath the Valley of the Ultra Vixens. Haven't seen Up! but Ultra Vixens is pretty amusing. Wouldn't call it good, though
  14. Megalopolis is far from the worst film of the year. It's flawed and divisive, but its not cynical IP harvesting. The other 3 are corporate slop that was shoved on the screen
  15. Double feature at the theatre today: Megalopolis/The Substance. Megalopolis was imperfect, sometimes brilliant, often the cringiest eye-rollingest shit you've ever seen. The MSG scene was the absolute high point. Confused in its politics, somehow fascist and antifascist, while being fully libertarian. Shia Labeouf and Audrey Plaza stole the movie. I'm going to have to sit with it for awhile. I think I'm sitting at mostly enjoying it, and appreciating the ambition, while wishing it had a serious rewrite. Somehow too long, while also ending without a strong resolution. The Substance was perfection. Everything I want to see in a movie. The first half is sexy as fucking hell and the second is super fluidy, gross out shit. Loved loved loved loved. Spent the last 45 minutes with a smile plastered on my face.
  16. Disappointed to learn that Claudio's new music is not a knock off of Sledgehammer.
  17. This is not actually him. His response was "What the hell is a Letterboxd?"
  18. Do not take this Kip Sabian push away from me
  19. That makes no sense at all. "First or last?" I mean, you could be second, third, fourth...hell, you could even be fifth!
  20. He's playing really smart, but his accuracy is what has surprised me. They dumbed the playbook way down for him, but honestly more teams should do that in general. Offensive coordinators outsmart themselves all the time. They basically have Willis taking 2 reads and if neither are there, he takes off, and it has really worked
  21. They really need to get some 80 year old hair stylists out of retirement for these 70s/early 80s movies. The hair just never looks quite right. Too shiny, too flat.
  22. I loved the BCC turn. They were never friends, they were a group of wrestlers who had mutual respect from being in the ring and beating the shit out of each other. It started with Mox and Bryan fighting, it's appropriate that it ends with them fighting
  23. That needle spot was the safest thing in that match. Maybe its just because I work with them every day, but everything else in that match was way more hardcore than getting a tiny ass needle poked through your cheek. I've stuck much bigger ones in kittens e: as part of my job, I'm not just wandering the streets giving random cats injections
  24. Like they always say, mi casa es Tsukasa
  25. I hated that strap match. The corner touch gimmick just kills any intensity the match could have. The corner lights don't help, making it look like a playset. Absolutely silly end to a blood feud. Really liked Cody/KO and the mixed tag. Tag title match was fine, just didn't grab me. Full disclosure, I fell asleep during Gunther/Orton. The edible I took earlier caused me to crash out.
