    2015 HOF Thread

I'm guessing Johnson and Pedro are first ballot and Biggio joins them. Smoltz I can see going either way, he'll get in, but maybe not this year. I think Piazza gets more support, but still misses. Bagwell, Raines, Bonds and Clemens will miss again and I will get so mad...again. My ballot: Randy Johnson Pedro Martinez Craig Biggio Mike Piazza Jeff Bagwell Tim Raines Roger Clemens Barry Bonds Edgar Martinez Alan Trammell Just miss: Smoltz (do think he's a HoFer, I just ran out of room), Walker (sentimental pick, I know he's really not going to make it), McGwire (not sure what I think about him really), Schilling (another close pick), Mussina (HoVG?)
  2. He can be forgiven for joining the Bills Mafia for a week.
  3. Flip to see what's happening in the Lions game and there's a personal foul leading to a Pats TD. Seems about right.
  4. Goddammit, I need him to start getting me some late points. While still losing, of course...
  5. The Packers are really letting the Vikings hang around. This is mildly distressing.
  6. "Teddy Bridgewater a little high on the throw" has been a reoccurring theme this game.
  7. The jiggle can be hypnotic. Stafford's faaaaaaat is what I'm sayin'.
  8. No return yards and Patterson has been such a monumental disappointment all year that I don't want to start trusting him now. Such a shame, at the beginning of the year I was sure I'd never have to worry about my WRs and Flex with him, A.Brown and DJax. At least DJax has shown he can get points no matter who's throwing him the ball, last week notwithstanding. I agree on Sammy, the only thing that worries me is that he's been so feast and famine and the up in the air nature of this week's game. Who knows how anyone on either team is going to react? Thanks Sabin.
  9. Couple questions, if you don't mind. Do I start oversleeping Jonas Gray (DET) or Terrance West (@ATL) as a RB2? I also need a WR2 and a Flex. My choices are John Brown (@SEA), Davante Adams (@MIN) or Cordarrelle Patterson (GB). I'm leaning towards Brown and Adams. Fitty's hurt, so Brown should get some looks and Adams might not get a lot of chances, but the Packers should roll over Minny, so a TD is a strong possibility. This is a PPR league. God damn is my team going to miss Antonio Brown this week. Finally, I need a Flex in another league. My choices are Sammy Watkins (NYJ, in DET), Darren Sproles (TEN), Martellus Bennett (TB) or Michael Floyd (@SEA). I currently have Watkins in the spot, but Floyd is tempting, although he has been underwhelming this year. This is a Non-PPR league. Thanks for any advice.
  10. That tends to happen with most managers/coaches eventually, no matter how good you are. After awhile all the vets have heard all your motivational speeches, all your anecdotes or just know you too well as a person to respect you as the ultimate authority anymore. I love what Maddon did in Tampa, but it was probably time to move on.
  11. Wasn't Raul Ibanez just, like, playing? Shouldn't you find out if the guy can actually manage first, before handing him the keys to a major league team?
  12. Kissed is a legitimately great Canadian film about necrophilia, starring Molly Parker. It caused quite a stir when it came out, mostly because it doesn't demonize the act. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116783/?ref_=nv_sr_2 I haven't seen it in probably 15 years, but I remember thinking it was damn good at the time.
  13. Kansas City Atlanta New York Jets Chicago Houston Indianapolis Green Bay New England Philadelphia San Diego Seattle Denver San Francisco Dallas New Orleans Tiebreaker #1: Brees Tiebreaker #2: 0 Tiebreaker #3: 5
  14. Who started Montee Ball and Terrance West and not Jonas Gray? I think it was me. In other news, Gronk might be the most enjoyable person on the planet. A close second may be that dancing Colt tackle.
  15. Hope the Lions enjoyed their 2nd straight First Half Division Championship.
  16. Is no one watching the St. Louis/Denver game or does no one want to discuss it because it would be like jinxing a no-hitter?
  17. Miami San Francisco Denver Washington Carolina Chicago Cleveland Seattle New Orleans San Diego Detroit Green Bay Indianapolis Pittsburgh Tiebreaker #1: 243 Tiebreaker #2: 2 Tiebreaker #3: 38
  18. "Alright" Rolling over a Bears team that's given up on their season hardly makes them good. The Packers still can't stop the run, if the Eagles are smart they'll run Shady and Sproles until they burst.
  19. Sorry, it just seems like he gets killed every game he plays. Look on the bright side....your team didn't spend 3 years trying to depend on the actual Buck Pierce.
  20. He's totally going to turn into Buck Pierce, isn't he?
  21. I'm pretty disappointed that I didn't record the game last night before heading to work. Suffice to say, that was a pleasant surprise to come home too. Looking at the schedule, the Lions should still likely take the division, they've been the more complete team this year anyway, regardless of Rodgers going HAM. Sooooo....does Trestman go back to Montreal next year? Hate the Bears, but I feel bad for the guy, guess there's going to be no Canadian revolution of the NFL anytime soon.
  22. BC/MON winner goes to Hamilton, SAS/EDM winner to Calgary. ...wait, BC is in the EAST? The Dallas Cowboys don't see a problem. Hell, I think the Phoenix Cardinals were in the NFC East when the NFL still had the three-division format. Crossover. They finished 4th in the West, but had a better record than the East's 3rd place Argonauts, so they get their playoff spot. Basically, it's like if last years 9-7 Chargers got bumped and the 10-6 Cardinals moved over to the AFC playoffs.
  23. Cincinnati Baltimore Buffalo Miami Dallas New Orleans Pittsburgh Atlanta Denver Arizona Seattle Green Bay Philadelphia Tiebreaker #1: Green Bay Tiebreaker #2: 312 Tiebreaker #3: 40
  24. I always liked Joe Sakic tearing tendons in his hand from snowblowing his own driveway, rather than hiring someone to do it, because he's a good Canadian lad. /Cherrymode Although Joba Chamberlain's trampoline injury probably has them all beat.
