    I have a cousin who routinely gets to baseball games obscenely early to catch batting practice and beg the players to throw him a ball. I went with him a couple of times and the players are always pretty annoyed with him. I never understood it.

    By the late 2000s, the WHC was basically the equivalent of the early-mid 90s Intercontinental Championship. When guys like Christian (when he actually won it), Great Khali, and Jack Swagger were getting runs, you know that the meaning of being a "World Champion" has been severely diluted. I'd even toss Mark Henry's run into that pile too.

    I don't know why people are comparing Lawler and Rose. Lawler has worked there for 23 years. Most companies give long time employees some leeway.

    I still think that Bret staying would've made the build to WrestleMania 14 a lot more interesting, if the WWF was able to run with the Mr. McMahon character still. Bret Hart as the corporate champion playing a self-righteous asshole would have worked so perfectly.
