  1. Looks like I'll be in Richmond, VA this weekend. Any cool spots to check out? My girl and I would particularly be looking for cool bookstores and/or music/record shops. Also, where should we eat? Pretty sure there are some fine Virginians on the board to point us in the right direction!
  2. Yeah, that's when it seemed to open up and let me choose what I wanted to do.
  3. You know what I dig about these shows? People actually defend their opinions and the debate isn't about who can shout more loudly. Enjoyed the joshi conversation a lot and want to watch the crap out of some 91 USWA...
  4. Finally had my first chance to play online today. Didn't see any crew mates, though. Got through the tutorial, I guess. Wish I had more time to put into it...
  5. Yeah, I can't join, either. Even more annoying since I see that some of you bastards can! Heh.
  6. Just joined up. Now, to find time to play the *offline* portion of the game before the online ultra mega mass homicide begins!
  7. That Hansen/Colon match you guys talked about lives up to the hype. Christ, that was great. The crowd is just bonkers and they beat the shit out of one another. I thought the finish was a bit anticlimactic, but I was blown away otherwise.
  8. I accidentally killed Rae after a game. She got mouthy after Michael bumped into her and, well...he has some rage issues to work out. Currently working on the Epsilon missions, because I want access to their compound without copious amounts of violence being necessary. Also, I want some robes. I hope I get both, but would be happy enough with either result.
  9. What's Tank been up to, other than this IWA-DS spot? Always enjoyed his stuff.
  10. Best part of living in a rural area? Rolled into Walmart at 8:30 am, walked out at 8:32 with the game! Now, if I could only figure out how to stop walking Chop...
  11. Oh, man...I might actually be a ble to finish in that timeframe. I shall give my due diligence.
  12. Discovered a local theater that screens classics as well as first run stuff. Saw Vertigo last night. It's part of a Hitchcock fest they're running. I've always read that Hitchcock was down on this moive, especially on Jimmy Stewart, but he nails the obsessive ex cop thing. I don't know if its just in comparison to other roles, but he's super creepy in this. Upcoming movies include Psycho, Halloween, Ghostbusters, Poltergeist and Gremlins. Good thing you can go in with 2 people and get movie, popcorn and drink for less than $25. I may be there a lot!
  13. I took the initiative and used a personal day on Tuesday. Shame that the next 2-3 weeks will be bonkers at work. Won't get nearly the play time I'm likely to want. Last time a game release led me to take a day off? San Andreas, I think.
  14. Great listen, Will. Looking forward to the topics that will pop up in the future. Helps make a boring work day a bit more tolerable...
  15. Blasting through SR4, but most of my gaming time is spent with Puzzle & Dragons. I hate match-3 games, so why am I pumping so much time into this? It's like bejeweled meets RPG meets Pokemon. Way too addicting...
  16. 36 and the last few have been the best. If this upward trend continues, I look forward to being a crotchety old man...
  17. Finished listening to Under the Dome and moved on to 11/22/63. Under the Dome is some dark, dire stuff Shame the ending got King'd, but if you read a lot of his stuff, you get used to it. Is the tv show any good? Picked up Lex Luger's book today, so that'll likely be my weekend reading.
  18. I got really excited to see new posts in this folder, thinking that we might have started hashing out the fall theme! Sorta sad that I need that motivation to pick up a book at the moment...
  19. Just the thing to keep me interested in current pro wrestling!
  20. Ah, crap. Hard to beat for that price, even if it feels like I won't have time to watch it until 2018 or so. The AWA ballot is the first time I wasn't able to finish (barely halfway through) and I don't want that to become a trend, but...damn.
  21. In the name of some early shaming, Jae...isn't that actually The Sisters Brothers? Ha! And I might be able to whip up a writeup for it if necessary, as I listened to the audio version recently...
  22. Probably. When you're copying the cataloging other people have done and aren't paying attention (or don't have the time or knowledge to know better), that stuff happens. I do a bit of cataloging in my new position and I run into the same thing. I'll occasionally download a record and find that it's shockingly incorrect. Luckily, I do it so little that I have the time to look over things if they don't look right.
  23. Me and some friends beat Pandemic last night. First time any of us has ever done so. I was starting to think it was impossible...
