Out of curiousity what control set-up did you play with? I started with the nunchuck but a couple weeks ago I picked up a classic controller plus. That seems to be the better option. Went with the classic controller. It made things a lot easier.

So I beat Xenoblade Chronicles after about 150 hours. Yep. 150. Holy crap was it awesome. Really enjoyed the ending, too, even if it was a bit cliched. The one thing I enjoyed was that Shulk was actually a strong lead character, even with his flaws. If this game was this massive, the next Monolith Soft X game...I can't even imagine.

The problem for a lot of people was that Into Darkness played like a homage to Star Trek movies of old instead of a new direction like the first movie did. I'm fine with him paying tribute in a sense. It's not as good as the first one, but I enjoyed it well enough. It's just a bad combination of everyone's hard-on for Benedict Cumberbatch along with the character he portrayed. It was like nobody wanted to see any of it.

That Aja match is fucking incredible. I rewatched it recently with EricR for the Best of Japan 2000s project and man alive KAORU killed it in that match. There were some ridiculous spots in that match.

If you watch the Goldberg match, he bumps around like a pinball. I lost my shit even though I knew the horrible, horrible ending was near.

Don't like the trade for Cleveland. Should have tried to agree to a sign-and-trade on an extension if they were positive Deng would stay past the end of this year. Now what would be interesting is to see them fall off and then try and flip him before the deadline for more picks themselves.

Big Bang suffers from the same fate as many successful sitcoms. Find formula that makes it unique. Find parts of formula that get the best reception. Let romance bloom and let parts of formula that get best reception fill in the blanks. Hope that people still enjoy parts while you keep making money and everyone gets rich. There are a few that were able to buck the trend, but that's what made them great as opposed to just successful.
