  1. The Tony Khan smiles and then Okada’s teethy grin on the handshake popped me. The Bucks are watchable for me when they’re assholes who then go on to eat shit, and if the end game is Okada/Omega at Wembley??? I’ll be in to that.

Ospreayism is not my cup of tea, but Bryan giving him the Kenny at Arthur Ashe treatment? Yes, please.

Wardlow as fodder for Joe is gonna be good, and I do see him doing something that makes Joe more vulnerable to Swerve for his eventual title match.

And then it’s Bawse Time next week? Yessir.

  2. It’s all cringe. What none of these reporters understand is they’re always getting worked, and if they say they aren’t it’s because they’ve been convincing themselves of it through self-fulfillment. And they present as fact because of “sourcing” but all the sources work you to some degree.

To trust anyone on these sites when the fucking Wall Street Journal is sourcing things out properly is like choosing McDonalds when the actual handmade burger spot is across the street and then saying, “That Big Mac is a real burger, I’ll tell you what.”

  3. There’s an implicit bias with so much here in this thread because we all are in the camp of how horrible it is this happened, and so the tendencies are to bristle at any notion that anyone who worked closely with Vince or with him for a long time HAD to know something given what info we had at our disposal through the sheets or retconning past promos, etc. about his proclivities. This goes way past it and trying to Pepe Silvia shit together when there’s actual good work being done to uncover things doesn’t really do any good.

Especially considering this is the first of many civil lawsuits, which will in turn became many criminal lawsuits, which will lead to a string of convictions that, just even based on the initial wording of Grant’s lawsuit, seem to prelude what is more than likely the most impactful thing to ever happen to the business.

  4. @Lawful Metal, a question for you: What are the chances of this becoming a RICO case at some point? Given the civil cases will lead to criminal investigations and then charges, is there a decent chance that all of these will be similar enough that RICO happens?

@Greggulator continues to be the voice of reason and bringing everything back to reality on here; the enduring journalistic legacy of this board.

  5. NFL wrapping up Promotion of the Year early in 2024.

Allen’s shots outside of the end zone throw weren’t bad. Diggs not catching that deep ball is hilarious for many reasons, starting with MVS catching two deep contested balls.

  6. I’m Switch heavy right now as having a 7-month old isn’t conducive to sitting and playing PS5. TotK and Super Mario Wonder in the rotation with me having just finished Super Mario ROG sans super bosses (and not sure if I’m gonna give it a go there tbh).

But once FF7 Rebirth hits? That’ll be my life for the 100 or so hours I play it.

After that, I’m not really sure what I’m gonna be looking towards as my tastes and wants for games have changed significantly these last few years. My retro backlog is always there but I’m more seeing that as a lifelong thing to have going forward as opposed to anything near term. And then there’s whatever the kid might be into in the years to come.

Skull and Bones has me intrigued, though. An actual honest to dog pirate open world would be wild if it all works.
