  1. LeBron turns 30 this year. It might take Wiggins 5 or 6 years to reach his potential. Trading for Kevin Love to win a title as soon as possible is absolutely the right call, because by the time Wiggins could contribute at an All-Star level LeBron could be 36 years old.
  2. You guys who were talking about John Stockton being overrated and not capable of playing in today's NBA are killing me. Sure, he wouldn't be able to defend someone like Westbrook, but there are tons of bad defenders in the NBA right now. He would shine on offense, though. We're talking about a league that is pretty much built on pick-and-roll right now, and you guys think Stockton wouldn't be able to play? He's maybe the best PG ever in the pick-and-roll. How do you think Malone got all those wide open jumpers and dunks?
  3. Yeah. Whatever happened with that Green Arrow movie where he was supposed to be in a supermax prison?
  4. This is what I often wonder about. Look at the Bad Boy Pistons. Obviously they had some great players, but would they have been nearly as effective as they were if they couldn't play such physical defense? It's impossible to really compare eras, though, because of things like this. People bring up how athletic players are now, but what if Russel and Wilt had today's nutritionists and personal trainers? They would be freaking monster athletes.
  5. As far as building a team for LeBron, I think I would go: PG: Stockton SG: West SF: LeBron PF: Barkley C: Olajuwon Stockton and West are the best shooting backcourt possible probably, and we know LeBron likes to look for shooters. Plus, Barkley and Hakeem have good enough jumpers to spread the floor. LeBron and Hakeem can take turns posting up, Barkley can gobble up rebounds and get putbacks. Also, think about LeBron and Barkley as a fastbreak tandem. I think they would be even more entertaining than Wade/LeBron are now. And much more intimidating. You also could have switched Barkley for Dirk to add more shooting, then replace Olajuwon with Wilt who would just stand under the basket to block everything and get all the rebounds.
  6. My brother-in-law thinks Cleveland should trade the #1 pick to Minnesota for Kevin Love and see if that's enough to bring LeBron back. Irving-Love-LeBron could be pretty potent offensively. Their defense, however... not so much.
  7. Why not go back even further than the Harden deal? What if they had never taken on the terrible contract of Kendrick Perkins? They could have done small ball before Miami, running out Westbrook, Harden, Durant, Jeff Green, and Ibaka. I feel like their front office kind of gets a pass and are considered one of the better decision makers in the league, but most of that comes just from who they have drafted -- and a lot of that is luck, because no one knows how players will pan out. Their trades and various other personnel decisions have been pretty lackluster. Also, they haven't hired a new coach, which they should have done well before now.
  8. Yeah, I am extremely excited for Godzilla -- I loved those movies as a kid. Now that Captain America is out of the way, it's easily the movie I am most excited for this summer.
  9. And isn't Prime getting bumped up to $99 a year?
  10. For me at least, the animation and voice talent(besides Kristen Schall) is so bad I can't even pay attention to it. The guy who does Archer is jarring to hear in another role, and the lady who voices the mom is so annoying she's practically unlistenable. . He'll always be Coach McGuirk to me.
  11. Indeed. His kids have been sitting there listening to their dad basically tell them that for eight and a half years Robin was the love of his life and that she's the one who got away. Oh, but then he met their mom when Robin was marrying someone other than him when he was moving to Chicago basically the next day so he didn't have to be around her and not have her. I mean, this is a terrible story. He's telling them their mom is a consolation prize. He obviously still has a thing for Robin if this is the story he's telling them.
  12. I feel like this doesn't bode well for the quality of the show. They spent years trying to get it on the air at FX, but now they're giving up and making it original content for a video game console? Makes me feel like it's not going to be very good.
  13. First look at the costume for The Flash TV show:
  14. I think it would work really well. We've seen how well Carmelo can shoot off the dribble AND as a spot-up shooter in All-Star Games and in the Olympics. LeBron would get him a ton of open looks. Also, as Wade continues to age and take off more games, Carmelo would be there to pick up the slack and score more when he's needed to. Their defense would suffer a little bit, but they could still cover him to an extent. If that happened, though -- which it won't -- that would be like four of the five most important players from the Redeem Team on one NBA team. That would be insane.
  15. The character on the left is Sunspot. And yes, that is Shawn Ashmore from The Following making his fourth appearance as Iceman. Thanks. Also, I knew about Shawn Ashmore. I actually meant is the guy playing Sunspot also from The Following? He looks like one of the serial killers from the first season.
  16. They're 20-10 against the East. They're 10-2 against the West. If anything, their record is hurt more by games in the weak conference because those are the games they're coasting in. They don't care about beating the Bobcats and the Bucks.
  17. Everybody is talking about how LeBron and the Heat are coasting, but they still have a really good record. And people talking about how well the Thunder are doing even with Westbrook missing games should also keep in mind that Wade is sitting out like every other game because of his knee issues. So they're coasting with Wade missing like half of their games and LeBron is coasting, and they're still beating teams. I agree that Durant is having a career year, but basketball is also not just about who is the best scorer. Coasting LeBron is still a much better defender than Durant, and LeBron is still averaging really good numbers at a ridiculously efficient level. He is still the best player on the planet and easily the most valuable player. I mean, that's what MVP stands for, right?
  18. Oh, how I love Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. Has anyone seen The Fades? I noticed it was on Amazon Instant for Prime members, and I was thinking about checking it out.
  19. Yeah, this is getting ridiculous. I may as well add Mark Dacascos to the mix because I enjoyed Only the Strong when I was a kid. Like all great movies where teachers go to a new school in the projects and teach the underprivileged kids about life, but in this instance he teaches them Brazilian dance fighting! Anyway, maybe people should just keep it to actors they would list in their top five of all time. Or even who is your greatest actor of all time, and is it because of their overall career or because they gave what you feel is the single greatest performance in cinematic history?
  20. A lot of older actors I love have already been mentioned, so I'll throw out Henry Fonda.
