  1. I can't stop watching this Buffy marathon on the Syfy channel. Why did I start? Damn it. Also trailer for BELIEVE: At the end of the REVOLUTION panel at Comic-Con, fans were given a special surprise when filmmaker Alfonso Cuaron introduced his first television project. The 2014 series preview is both action-packed and inspiring.
  2. They can talk about being inspired by The Dark Knight Returns all they want, but no way do I see them casting an older actor to play a broken down Batman nearing the brink of insanity in his 50s. Especially with the Justice League movie hovering over it.
  3. Ryan Reynolds has two movies out this weekend and both of them are looking disappointing. Red alert. Expect more articles on the state of his career from Bill Simmons and entertainment sites after this weekend.
  4. Don't worry. Michael Keaton is still alive and available. It's not surprising though. I mean money can always change things, but Bale has said he wasn't coming back a couple of times, especially without Nolan directing. I won't miss his voice.
  5. The pressure on the next actor to portray Batman got upped a couple of levels today. Good luck to whoever they cast.
  6. The show is so close to realizing its, "SIX SEASONS AND A MOVIE!" mantra, it almost feels right to cancelled it after its 5th season. A cruel, meta-twist.
  7. I enjoyed The Rock's in-ring work in 2000 too much to allow this topic to go by without a stern post from me. Yeah, you heard right. Stern. Shame on you, HumanChess. Shame.
  8. Well, they're finally going to go through with a Batman and Superman movie. At least they're doing it this way instead of just throwing out one big Justice League movie(this idea never made sense to me): Link: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/superman-batman-film-set-comic-589521 and Zack Snyder is directing. Sigh... ...BUT FLASH THOUGH.
  9. I actually like the modern twist on Uncle Ben's death in The Amazing Spiderman. I can kind of understand why some would say his death scene is too gritty and/or Batman-lite for a Spider-Man movie, but I thought it was a decent update on it. It still maintained the "great responsibility" moral. They just wanted to get rid of the carny wrestling plot anyway.
  10. Preacher is more accessible than The Sandman, but I could live without a tv or film adaptation. It has its bright spots and interesting characters, but it's not my favorite. Both The Sandman and Preacher have some touchy religious aspects, so I wouldn't be surprise if they changed a few things in any type of adaptation. They are just thinking up ways to delay doing a Wonder Woman film at this point.
  11. Does Community have a panel at Comic-Con this year? If it does, should we just start taking bets now on when Dan Harmon will issue his apology for whatever he's going to say?
  12. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, DC Entertainment's president, Diane Nelson said: On Wonder Woman: Link: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/dc-chief-superman-wonder-woman-586081 Are they finally going to give in and make a lackluster film adaptation of The Sandman? If it goes down, it will be fun to follow.
  13. In the year 2014, there will be no more Bobcats fans and wearing a Bobcats' jersey could be consider retro. Sadness. The Bobcats' legacy goes out with David Stern. Forever linked.
  14. Slave films are sooooo in right now. What an odd thing to say.
  15. Yeah, Spider-Man is probably my favorite superhero, but it's going to be tough selling the general public on Electro being a big time villain even with Jamie Foxx in the role I think Andrew Garfield is a good Peter Parker though. I enjoyed him in the role more than Tobey Maguire.
  16. I've been on the Chew bandwagon for awhile. Admittedly, I'm not up to date on it because I'm waiting to read the whole thing through trades, but the first 15 issues were fun. The art is full of easter eggs, and Layman seems to know where he wants to take the story so most arcs are well-plotted out. I know it's won a couple of awards, but I hope gets more attention and maybe even a tv show (animated or live-action) in the future.
  17. The Lakers pursing Melo and Lebron is such a "we don't have anything left to talk about this offseason" story. Of course, they're interested...so is every team with enough cap space. Bulls fans have grown to respect Boozer in the past two seasons? Nice try, Jrag, but I've been to a Bulls fan site a time or two. I know you're trying to up his trade value.
  18. There is a lot power forwards on that Celtics' roster. Someone is going get moved. If everyone stays, at least one of them is going to be playing some time as an undersized center this year. I know there are financial reasons for why Miami got rid of Miller, but he was worth more to them than a couple of players still on that team. They better hope this leads to them acquiring a serviceable center.
  19. Can you tone down the CM Punk bashing, Fowler?
  20. I'm cool with it, but Del Rio's belt is the secondary title. I think they should keep it that way. First time people aren't complaining about the crowd in weeks. If the show stays entertaining throughout its 3 hour length, the crowd is usually not annoying(or at least not quiet) and will respond with energy. Usually. Bryan and Cena match is going to be grand. Plain and simple. WWE might get me to go out and see this PPV. Nice work.
  21. Metta World Peace, Melo, and JR Smith all on the same squad? The basketballs Gods know how to keep me entertain. The Knicks vs. Nets games should be wild next season. Thank you.
  22. I haven't seen it, but I haven't gotten the impression that Pacific Rim is a deep, complex movie. I don't think that angle holds weight. I always thought it was going to be a visually impressive film with big robots and heavy special effects. The plot? Save the world. Done.
  23. It's probably just the "hindsight is 20/20" in me talking, but I'll say it: DDP probably should have won the match against Goldberg.
  24. Don't get ahead of yourself. You might lose Nate Robinson too.
  25. I thought some of you guys told us Kaitlyn was going to overcome the bullying/odds and win this feud a couple of weeks ago?
