Vince should start a 20twenty cricket league in the US. Or just buy an EPL team, he was rumoured to be buying Newcastle Utd a few years back.

Tony has definitely said that Hogan/Warrior was his best match seen live. I remember because I was surprised he was at the event as he was off TV by that point.

Pretty interesting set of answers from someone so strongly identifiable as an NWA/WCW guy.
Tony has said that Hogan vs Warrior was the best match he ever saw live (he was working off-camera at WM6, just before he went back to WCW).

I saw Flair vs Kerry in Sheffield in October 1991. Marked out like mad as a 14 year old but hardly anyone else there even knew who Flair was.

"Benefits" isn't that much of an issue in the UK.
Most of these guys wouldn't be making be close to making $500 a weekend, every weekend.

20 grand...they only get 20 grand....what the fuck man. You can make better money and get multiple benefits, days off, even free education, getting a job at Starbucks.
Yeah but you have to work at Starbucks for 40 hours a week. They'll have a lot more days off with WWE. For the limited dates these guys are doing with WWE, 20 grand is good money. It means they can wrestle full-time.

I like how not only is Hogan's drink the cheapest, but they didn't even bother to put his whole name in. Unless they felt threatened by Marvel Comics. Which leads to another question. When did WWE stop giving Marvel credit for the "Hulk" in Hulk Hogan?
When Hogan came back to the WWF in 2002 they were exclusively calling him "Hollywood" Hogan for a while, because of some dispute with Marvel, then he went back to Hulk and they sorted something out where they didn't have to credit Marvel anymore.

There was a 2nd Royal Rumble in 1988, either a few days before or after the one shown on TV. One Man Gang won it.

If you cancel Stardom World, is it true that you are immediately unable to watch videos, despite the fact that I've paid for the month already?

Who is it? Randy Orton?

Midnights in WWF wouldn't have really worked either in 1986 or 1989. They'd have had good matches but wouldn't have got the belts. If they'd come in in 1989 they'd have almost certainly ended up jobbing to the Bushwhackers. Maybe in 1990 you could put them in the same spot the Orient Express got, have them go over the Rockers at WM, feud with them for a while, then feud with the Hart Foundation after they win the belts. There was a shortage of heel teams in 1990 until they turned Demolition heel. They would have ended up having to job to the Bushwhackers and Cornette would have thrown a strop and left to start SMW. But then we wouldn't have got Cornette coming in later in the 90s to manage Yokozuna etc.

Why did Condrey up and leave the Midnight Express in 87? More money from Verne?
Nobody really knows. Various theories include a) a cocaine problem, b) marital problems, c) being pissed at Cornette for turning down a jump for the Midnights to the WWF in 1986.

Lynn was never in the tournament and was not in the WWF at the time, although they did show him on the tournament brackets on TV at one point.

Does anyone remember a WWF tag team called the Ring Lords? I saw them only once in a squash in the mid-nineties. They had red facepaint and I believe both of them had long black hair. I've never seen them again, nor heard of them, since, and I can't find any information on them at all. It struck me as strange that you'd have a team with an actual name and some colourful gimmick (or at least facepaint), but they were only shown once.
Rick and Speedy?

I don't see them going in if they both died young.

Are UFC planning to add more women's divisions? They had the one fight at 125.

Scratch the last post, it's not working again. No idea what it is but I will be cancelling the subscription at the end of the month. Which is a shame because I like Stardom and thought the site was tremendous value for money up to now.

It all started working again when I tried this morning. So it looks like it's just something that happens occasionally. Why it would be specific to European viewers I have no idea.

Mero was the first guy to get a big money guaranteed deal from Vince in the MNW era. He was in the right place at the right time, and got resented for it.
