Just spotted a wrestler movie appearance I'd never heard about before. Dan Spivey in "Unmasking the Idol", a movie from 1986.

Because there's no way of knowing what people will consider to be "trash" in the future and once the precedent has been set, people will use it to justify all kinds of things.
It happened, removing it from Peacock doesn't mean it didn't happen.
I have a real problem with the removal of the Piper/Bad News match from WM6. Say Bad News' grandchildren want to watch their grandfathers highest profile match, in front of (I think) the biggest crowd he ever worked in front of, in his home country. Only now they can't because of people 31 years in the future taking offense to something his opponent did. It's ridiculous and serves no purpose at all. This NBC deal is a real poison chalice for the WWE, yes they're making a crazy amount of money but it's going to deal with standards and practices more stringent than anything at Turner in the 90s. It's going to become the most bland, anodyne wrestling product of all time. How on earth do you have heels if no-one is allowed to anything that might be offensive to someone, somewhere in the world?

I don't agree with censorship after the fact. Put a disclaimer on it regarding historical context, put an age restriction on it, but put it on there as it is. Let people make up their own mind. If you start going through the entire WWE library and censoring everything that anyone could find offensive, you might as well not bother with it at all. Just declare year zero right now, this WrestleMania becomes the new WrestleMania 1 and nothing that happened before 2021 is acknowledged, pretty much like 1984 all over again.

Jim Duggan did jobs on WWWF TV early in his career, and later challenged Slaughter for the world title in 1991.
King Kong Bundy also did jobs early on and obviously went onto main event WM2 challenging Hogan for the belt.

AEW should be built around Rey Fenix.

Just because people know it's fake, doesn't mean it doesn't have to make sense.

I genuinely thought it was called Atomic Leg Drop...was this the real life, or was it just fantasy?
I don't think it was every called that onscreen, either in the WWF or WCW.

I agree with Cornette, Bockwinkel the best after 50, he was a top-line performer at that age, his abilities and career peaked well into his 40s. Lawler the best after 60, while certainly not the worker he was in his 20s or 30s. Lawler basically figured out a routine in his early 40s that he can still do pretty much the same to this day, in his 70s. After 40 I think the answer is Flair, who had arguably his best year at age 40 in 1989, and didnt' really start to seriously decline until his early 50s.

How come Hogan's legdrop never had any kind of fancy name?
I always thought Ocean Cyclone Suplex was a cool name. I think it was in the No Mercy videogame. I don't like the overly contrived, wink-wink names that indy guys use nowadays. Frankensteiner might be the best original move name of the the last 30 (32?) years.

RIP Barry Orton
I always thought Barry was very underrated. Like a lot of guys he came along at the wrong time, if he'd been 10 years older he'd have had a good career in the territories. WWF could have done more with him, he didn't really lack anything that they looked for. He probably would have benefitted from leaving early on and wrestling elsewhere and then coming back in the late 80s when they were starting to look for new stars. But he did jobs for too long to ever get a push.

Could WWE relaunch the network down the line with just the old stuff, at a lower price? Kind of like Classics on Demand used to be? Or does the deal with Peacock prevent them from doing this?
-
Classic Chicago angle as Moose Cholak challenges Rene Goulet to punch him in the face as hard as he can.

I'm a few days late on this, but I just want to say, it is absolutely not uncommon for someone to come to a fast food restaurant, order a truly preposterous amount of food, and drive off.
And when the kitchen is 12-15 sandwiches deep into the order, with four baskets of fries down, and then front slowly realizes that they aren't in line... That's a fair amount of wasted product. And sometimes managers or crew get in trouble for excessive waste. So I totally get why the DQ was skeptical, and Cornette was being an asshole per usual.
Cornette was being a bit of an ass hole no doubt, but if they'd got to the food service window, they'd already paid, and the food should have been started to be prepared.

Who is the bald guy with a goatee to the left of Bischoff?

This is amazing. I was able to identify all but one. Who is the blonde guy with a mic on the right hand side next to Lita, below Slaughter and above Funk?
Jarrett, I think.

Exciting news about KFM, that used to be a great forum, hopefully it can be restored to some of it's former greatness.

Guess who?

Are they having two Hall of Fame ceremonies as well as 2 nights of WrestleMania?
-
Does Zhang vs Rose headline? Normally they always have the heavier weight class title fight as the headline fight.

Dan Hardy is out of UFC over some confrontation with a woman backstage, possibly Herb Dean's wife.

RF Video doing shoot interview with Dan Severn and Ken Shamrock.

Since AEW acknowledge the WON awards Dave may as well get some plaques made up so the wrestlers can show them off on TV and/or social media.
