Just caught the last two matches. What the fuck is up with that ring announcer!!?!? She’s horrible. Is she always that bad?

They can do something like petition the commission to be allowed to wear a lost mask for a special occasion. Apparently, Panther petitioned and had it granted for this match.

The fact that, on any given week, we may get a Danielson dream match out of nowhere is my current favorite thing. I'm surprised at how into Copeland I am. I wasn't really all that excited about his signing. We was (along with Cena and Orton) always "WWE personified" to me, and I wasn't looking forward to that on my AEW shows. He's been awesome, though, and I look forward to seeing his stuff with HoB. Overall, I'd say AEW is in a transition period. As others have mentioned, there's been a recent influx of new/elevated talent. The good thing, for me, is that I'm pretty excited to see where it all goes. After Dynasty, I think we'll have a little clearer view of what's down the road.

Bucks/Kingdom would be kind of worth it if Bennett hits the dick punch and ends up getting fined on the spot. I dug Osprey/Shibata a ton. I thought the main was awesome but maaaayyybe could’ve shaved a little off the finishing stretch. The rest of the show was good stuff. Dynasty is shaping up to be a hell of a show.

Ha! I have owned that soundtrack and listened to it a ton and never bothered to 1. see what the title translated to or 2. learn anything about the movie itself. It's great "late night" jazz, IMO.

I volunteered to help coach my son's flag football team. Well, it was really one of those things where they asked, I said yes, and as the word was coming out of my mouth I instantly regretted it. Turns out, it's actually really fun! The kids are awesome and, so far, the parents are really nice, too. We had our first game this past Saturday, and we won! By far the best part, though, was that, after the win, my son ran to me as excited as he's ever been about anything and gave me the biggest hug. Literally tearing up just typing that out. Oh, and turns out that he's a hell of a football player. Played some QB and scored as a running back. He also blocked really well on another TD and played some strong D. He played every single down on offense and defense. And, yes, while I am coaching, I'm just an assistant and don't make decisions on playing time.

I couldn't put my finger on why I liked Osprey's promos so much, but that's it. He's just talking.

This morning, I saw a post on Instagram with clips from a British Bulldogs/Gordy and Hanson match. It struck me just how great EVERYTHING Gordy did looked. There's a simple vertical suplex in there that just looks beautiful. I think Gordy is up there with Steamboat and Dustin and Barry Windham as far as guys who just seem like they were born to move around a wrestling ring.

The tournament wasn't for the Triple Crown. It was for the Continental Championship. Kingston threw the other two belts, that he already held, into the mix. So, it wasn't ever a unification thing. It was more akin to when Omega won a bunch of belts a couple years ago. It let Kingston have his Kawada moment, and now they're probably going to break them up.

I worked at a local video rental store. Still the best job I've ever had. After the store was closed, it wasn't unusual for those of us closing up to have a drink or smoke while shutting down. One night, the owner (a pretty eccentric dude) pulls up as we're closing. He drags in this big cooler full of beer. "You guys want this? I've been out on the lake all day and have a bunch left." We're all like, "Uh, we're not 21." He says, "Yeah, I know. I sign your paychecks. I know how old you all are. Do you want it or not?" Got hammered that night on him.
