Just had the absolute pleasure of meeting Bryan Danielson. I asked him about NJPW and he told me he was supposed to already be there but due to Covid and a 2 week quarantine he just can't do it right now. Hoping things are better by the G1 as he really wants to be in this year. Couldn't have been a nicer guy. One of the rare ones who didn't charge for autographs or pics.12 points

He'd have Peter Falk narrate old episodes of RAW to a bedridden Dominik. Grandpa: It was ten days to the wedding. Vince still lived, but Stephanie's nightmares were growing steadily worse. Dominik: See, didn't I tell you she'd never marry that rotten The Undertaker? Grandpa: Yes, you're very smart. Shut up.5 points

Thank you for doing that and for your lovely post, @NikoBaltimore. Thank you to @AxB for suggesting it. Means a lot. Thank you both. Love, Paul xxx.5 points

Unless there is a sudden conference re-alignment that seems pretty unlikely this year.5 points

exactly. Superstar means wrestler, Legend means alumni. Just like Medical Facility means hospital and Title Opportunity means championship bout. read the instruction manual that shipped with your VinnyMac Decoder Ring, it's all there.4 points

I think the best description of it was Travis McNeil on Twitter calling it a reverse One Night Stand. That show encapsulated every about the original ECW except the end of the show. This didn't feel much like Gcw show at all until the main event and the celebration. Hell the pre show felt more GCW in my opinion Given the rest of the booking we are kind of fortunate of Gresham not being there or you would have had 4 hometown people lose in a row3 points

Per ESPN - this will be the first time in 12 years that the Conference Championships won't have either Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers playing3 points

They’re worse than 1998 WCW. Nobody cares about some old bastard. They want to see the best team win no matter who it is lol!3 points

Funny thing is Eric Nicksick, his head coach, had no real background in anything prior to joining Xtreme Couture. He started out as a guy who just signed up for classes at Xtreme Couture back in 2007, eventually became like a low level coach, and then basically worked his way up when the gym was basically not all that relevant anymore (thanks to the rise of John Wood's Syndicate MMA and also the UFC building their massive, state of the art gym in Vegas) to general manager. Then, the head coach of Xtreme Couture Robert Follis passes away in 2017. So Nicksick became not only the general manager but the head coach. When Ngannou left the services of Fernand Lopez, the person he chose to go with is Eric Nicksick who led him to the UFC heavyweight title and helped him avenge that loss to Stipe. That's a crazy ass story.3 points

Vince: That biker Cher had chemistry with... he's got some real presence. Think we can get him in the ring? Some Yes Man: Do...do you mean... Sam Elliot? Vince: Christ what terrible name. Get him i nthe system and we'll call him Brick Porterhouse! James3 points

My take would be that I don't think we actually know why Rush is leaving AEW, and it seems kind of distasteful to speculate that it's about his personality, particularly considering that no details have been released. I'd also argue that neither side owes us any details. Anyway, word on the street is that Pretty Peter Avalon, Joey Janela, Brian Cage, and Marko Stunt are all working on soon to be expired and not yet renewed contracts. I'd assume Cage is the best bet for anyone who is hoping to hear trash talked about Tony Khan or AEW after their release. I enjoy watching all of those guys, Avalon in particular. I enjoyed watching Rush and Swole. I wouldn't mind seeing any of them back in AEW, permanently or as a one-off. I hope they all benefit from the exposure and experience, regardless of whether they are complimentary or critical on their way out the (forbidden) door. I also think AEW will be just fine without them.3 points
