Griselda is a record label. Westside Gunn is the rapper in question and also has a track named "Lucha Bros". And "Dean Malenko" and a skit that's just an Arn promo, and that's just AEW. I'm hoping Kingston or somebody has some licensed entrance music sooner than later. Anyone criticizing AEW for playing for too small an audience who heard "Kris Zellner"... take a moment to reflect.9 points

Fun fact: the bassist for Flatfoot 56 (the band that did a version of the old Sheamus song above) once literally in the middle of a song stopped playing in order to shove me into the mosh pit and, in the only time anything like this ever happened in my life, came and found me after the show to tell me how much my energy in the audience was an inspiration. I am far too old to ever have that much energy ever again.5 points

AEW continues to book matches that if you went back in time and told people would happen, they’d think you’re crazy. WWE’s Dean Ambrose will face the guitarist from Every Time I Die in a world title match on TNT. And it won’t completely suck!5 points

Ricky Starks is really making a Taka Michinoku out of his chance here. It seemed like he was brought in to feed Darby and he's killing it. Dude's all over Dark going from the ring right to the announce table. He's gotten to stand over the World Champion and made that really made that beatdown about him. He's just got to work in some mid match signature stuff and not be so giving in enhancement matches as he's going to be all over the show for years.3 points

Butcher is perfectly decent for someone who only, in the past year, started to have more than 12 matches in a calendar year. 2016-2018 his matches were pretty sporadic, it wasn’t until 2019 that his wrestling schedule really picked up.3 points

Why? Just let Jericho have a vanity match on a show that’s built entirely around his 30 year career. He’s done plenty for AEW, I don’t see why people are complaining about this. It’s not even going to be a feud, it’ll be a two week program (at best) just like the Private Party stuff - and it furthers the story of Jericho/Hager climbing the ranks since Chaos Project are undefeated right now. It’s really not a big deal.3 points

Anyone who says that are hyped for Dr Luther vs Jericho is a damn liar and is not to be trusted.3 points

What are you looking forward to in 2021? 2020's gone. Spending time with my family and friends. Posting here with the DVDVR MB family. Read more comic books. Always liked tattoos but never got round to having one. Might next year, a tribute piece to my much missed Mum. Going to the cinema for new movies either postponed this year and those that already were 2021 release dates.3 points

As it's the annual Hell in a Cell PPV... The Undertaker's best ever match. Shawn Michaels best ever match. Still the greatest Hell in a Cell match.2 points

If agree the pose is very performance center ‘move in a way no human has ever moved before’ and could be moved to something a lot more natural.2 points

Yeah, it should be a fun trainwreck. And Nash is or was pretty tight with Woj/Lowe so we should get some good leaks out of it.2 points

Um okay. I didn't point that out because I thought mentioning Meltzer would reach people or whatever snarky point you're trying to make. I was just contrasting those mentions with WWE, who treats their show as if it happens in a fictional universe where nothing not-WWE exists, including Covid. It's nice to see a wrestling show that takes place in the real world is what I was trying to get across.2 points

Love Starks. Only other suggestion I’d have is he needs to tone down his rehearsed ring entrance body movement shtick. Way too WWE-like. Just walk and be a cocky asshole.2 points

You also don't like to read - look at my post again. Two Schefter tweets - one expressly says "is being rescheduled for later this season"2 points

Decent show. Nothing bad at all. Darby vs Starks was very good! It 's exciting to see young midcard dudes going at it and knowing they'll be the uppercard one day. It reminds me of HHH vs Rock back in the day where both guys were just coming up. It's refreshing to have a national wrestling company where it's not just this upper echelon of a few guys and everyone else is meaningless and trading inconsequential wins. Speaking of "nice to see," we got mentions of Dave Meltzer and Kris Zellner on the show. It's cool to see a wrestling company that acknowledges there's a real world o2 points

Making my way through this right now but holy shit that first 30 minutes was incredible. Darby/Starks ruled! Perfect 15 minute sprint that felt very suitably violent for a blowoff but definitely leaves something in the bag for an inevitable rematch. Love Darby's determination and focusing on a body part as a face being both something different that works and very sound in terms of psychology with his finishes. That counter spear was perfection. Excalibur HATES the Bucks kicking old guys whom then make hilarious sounds. First Marvez and now Tony with legendary death rattles that could riva2 points

lol there's a little button for it in the top bar between the emotes and the bulleted list buttons. It's a big creepy eyeball. EDIT: I'm gonna take advantage of this post to hype up one of the best discoveries of my life. At one point I got curious about the existence of Chinese Punk Rock, and indeed found some, and eventually found my way to one of the best rock albums I've ever heard, "White Paper" by PK14. Try this, and if you like it, hit the playlist button. It's worth it. The ending is an earth shattering jam.2 points

I think it was before. They were actually a gift from my brother - he wasn't sure what to do with the other eleven, so he just gave me the whole pile. Maybe that's why they went out of business. They exceeded their titanium spork budget.1 point

It’s about to get Jazzy up in here. Charles Mingus - The Black Saint and The Sinner Lady A true Magnum Opus. Every single time I listen to this I am in more awe than before. It is such an encompassing experience. This is a masterwork that could take my number 1 spot by the time ballots are due. I’m not smart enough to write about Jazz music so most of these reviews/ synopses won’t amount to much. I won’t try to write music theory or moments I don’t actually understand either. But that WOOOOOOOMP noise. That’s a pretty sweet WOOOOOOMP noise. I feel it in my heart and e1 point
