  1. ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES People are going to die because this fucking asshole literally HAS to stay in office. Re-election is literally the only thing that will keep him out of jail. If you vote third-party or stay home because you're not INSPIRED by Biden, you're a spoiled GD child and you get the politicians you deserve.

  3. I think I'm well within my right to be angry at people who look at what an absolute shit sandwich the USA has become since Dick à l'Orange won the Presidency by minus-three million votes thanks to an election process that literally predates slavery and go "more please." Biden was never my top choice, as some of y'all might remember from my previous avatar. But the people have spoken, and he now stands as the single strongest candidate BY DEFAULT to oust Trump. Believe me, I'd love to see a viable third party system... but people like Jill Stein and Howie Hawkins (both of whom have won as many meaningful political offices as I have) treat it as a vanity project, showing up once every four years rather than put in the work. There's a reason people like AOC run under a Democratic ticket instead of the Green Party, because they know the third party system is currently untenable. They're far more successful promoting green issues from within the system than without, and it's a shame more people haven't picked up on that. Done venting per @jaedmc. How about that local sports team?

  4. Hey, how about a little bit of positivity in here, right? We're 3 months away from a new year, and how much worse can it really get? I'll tell you what I'm looking forward to for 2021. First, I am looking forward to cooking with my bamboo spoons in 2021. That's because in 2020, I have used them as something to bite down on to avoid reflexively clenching my jaws and grinding my teeth every ten minutes! Second, I am looking forward to getting back to work on at least one of my novels. I found out one of my ex-girlfriends recently put out an album that was largely well-received by the indie scene in the city where she lives, so she achieved one of her lifelong goals. It only stands to reason I should work towards one of mine for the right reasons. https://www.reddit.com/r/seinfeld/comments/9mbb8p/for_spite/ Oh, and bonus answer: I am looking forward to actually surviving all the way to 2021!

  6. AEW continues to book matches that if you went back in time and told people would happen, they’d think you’re crazy. WWE’s Dean Ambrose will face the guitarist from Every Time I Die in a world title match on TNT. And it won’t completely suck!

  8. JK Simmons's character in Whiplash was basically heel Jake the Snake, so if you thought he was a babyface, that's peak "DVDVR argues that the heel is actually a face for some reason" except in movie form. I feel very strongly about this. (Actually, the best analogy would be heel Jake pretending to be a face and befriending Miles Teller's Ultimate Warrior, and then turning on him after putting him through a bunch of trials. The Undertaker in this analogy would have to be uh, the spectre of greatness in a dying musical genre. Yeah, it works.)

  9. Ehhhhhh... Tony just probably doesn’t think they could do anything with him. Honestly, if he comes in permanently that removes a roster spot that could go to Lee Johnson, Hobbs, and Ben Carter. I think AEW already has enough vets to put over young guys already. It’s also not like they need another guy who recently got jacked types.

  10. Yeah, Velvet is real good. None of these ladies look lost working with her. Neither does she. That’s a good sign for her ability. She needs to drop the stirring motion.

  13. Probably not much. I don't think it actually made the movie better. Your biggest loss would be when Godard takes one of the two cameras needed to film in 3D and points it somewhere else. That moment is a communal kind of experience that we all need more of.

  14. This will upset some, but he’d be a good fit for Suzuki-Gun since they desperately need a stinky mediocre gaijin in that group that they haven’t had since Shelton left. Having the crappy gaijin always maintained their go away heat.

  15. My favorite PWI/Apter Mags quirk was ranking The Road Warriors the #1 team in the world for months and months despite them not holding any titles. Like they were saying, it doesn't matter who the champs of any company are, these guys would kayfabe beat the shit out of anybody given the chance and are the uncrowned world champions. That was so awesome.

  16. Aside from making Cody happy, Cardona had zero upside and was a bad fit. There are far younger, better, hungrier guys out there far more deserving of that paycheck. Is Impact his next stop? I don't see the dude pulling a McIntyre and going back to the indies to rebuild.

  17. Remember all those years of people telling that Bryan Danielson had no personality. Granted it wasn't let me read a script with passion like in the WWE but no way this idea that he was basically a mute with great ability.

  23. That was the best Britt Baker's ever looked. Maybe the Shida match was better, but tonight it seemed like she put all the pieces together and finally "got it." Ring work looked smooth and hurty, great character stuff between spots, total confidence and no hesitation.

  24. BONUS Tazz Jones Count for 09/30/20: 1 (Skateboard) Holy crap that was one of the best episodes of Dynamite I've ever seen. It had everything, a Chaos Project push, BILLY MITCHELL, Dancin' John Silver, Hobbs/Cage HOSS FIGHT, Hangman being drunk and sad, Sammy not getting a jacket, MJF possibly joining the Inner Circle, and The Butcher getting a main event push. Next week looks even more stacked.

  25. Like @christopher.annino, I’m looking forward to getting more ink after a bit of a layoff. Looking forward to my daughter hopefully having the second half of her kindergarten in person instead of online. Hoping things take a turn more toward “normal “ in many aspects of life, and looking forward to that. Really, just looking forward to rinsing and spitting on this awful 2020.

  27. FWIW, they've both said that save for a few dream matches of theirs, they don't want to be a team anymore in their post-WWE careers. I think Cardona is really itching to do indies, honestly.

  33. That's Cheech Hernandez. Tagged with Cloudy a lot in the Northeast around the time of this video. Currently teams with Colin Delaney as "To Infinity and Beyond." Really good tag guy. He and Delaney are one of the more slept on teams on the indy scene right now. https://www.cagematch.net/?id=2&nr=1358

  34. Being the person who derailed this topic the worst, I'm really trying to think of something else to talk about...but there isn't really anything else going on. Oh, here's something, I bought a new smoker on Amazon, they sent the wrong one, and instead of going through the process of returning a 200 lb. box, they just told me to keep it and refunded me the money. So, I got a free smoker. Another part is that, I'm still thinking about getting the one I want, so I'll have 2 new smokers. It seems like overkill I know, but the free one is significantly smaller than the one it's replacing and the one I ordered. It will be fine for the fall/winter when I'm not going to be doing a lot of big cooks, but come summer when I want to do a brisket, a pork shoulder, some ribs, and maybe some turkey, having the larger one is going to be essential.

  38. Re: THE SOCIAL NETWORK ”The movie treats Zuckerberg sympathetically” is a common but nonetheless way-off-the-mark misread of the movie. He’s definitely presented as a *tragic* character (in the sense that he’s a would-be heroic figure brought low by an innate character flaw), but “tragic” isn’t synonymous with “sympathetic.” It’s all spelled out right there in the opening scene with Rooney Mara, which is one of the best things Sorkin ever wrote. She spells out the movie’s theme from the jump (paraphrasing): “You’re going to be alone because you’re an asshole.” And the rest of the movie is spent proving that out. Zuckerberg succeeds by every conceivable measure; he has everything you could seemingly need to finally win acceptance and connection and love...but in the end he’s just as isolated and alienated and alone as he’s ever been. Why? Because he’s an asshole. He’s still governed by the same inferiority complexes he had when he was a nobody sitting in that bar with Rooney Mara. You’re not supposed to feel sorry for him when he’s left alone in that board room, clicking refresh on a friend request that’s never going to be accepted. It’s his just desserts.

  39. PWI had a lot of weird name quirks like that. Like they refused to put the "Jim" in between "Hacksaw Duggan". Or long after WWF had settled on 1-2-3 Kid for Waltman, PWI still referred to him as just "The Kid".

  40. I didn't watch that shit. I'm just sad that we have got to the point where these two clowns are our choices. Seriously, we could choose any American born citizen who is over 35, and these are the two people we decided were most deserving of the highest office in the land. We're doomed. If these are the two people who most people look at and think are qualified to lead a country, we can't possibly fix any of this shit.

Probably the last big batch of stuff I'll be putting out for a while since I'm going back to work on Thursday after a 6 month layoff so I won't have near as much free time.
