  1. Andre was worried that Andre wasn't going to do business so they kept Andre off the card, just in case, but Andre went up as light as a feather for Andre. Three months later, Andre died, and was mourned by Andre.

  5. AEW wished Pac a happy birthday on social media today, so maybe this is some "for now" booking until international travel is back to normal.

  6. Wow...Matt Bentley sure did bounce around alot in 03.

  7. Not sure where else to put this. The last line of this (classic) sketch is an absolutely genius reference to classic British pro wrestling:

  8. I don't mean to direct this into very sad/heavy territory, but Misawa's death effected me pretty deeply, probably in the way Eddie or Benoit did for a lot of fans. Hell, Benoit wasn't exactly light on me either by any means. But when Misawa died my wrestling fandom waned very badly for many years. It just... got weird for a while for me. I've taken a couple runs at getting back into wrestling over the last decade and it never lasted more than a few weeks. I basically have a decade-sized gap in my knowledge. Finally now like a decade later, the COVID lockdown put so much on my plate that I needed a diversion, and I've been back in deep. First time I've *truly* enjoyed wrestling the way I used to in many, many years. It just took me that long to feel good about wrestling again.

  10. No they haven't. I still want Stevens and Question Mark.

  11. I mean, who says PAC wouldn’t join Kingston? I could see him fitting in that group very well.

  12. The Kingston wink could mean literally anything. Love that, btw

  13. Taue honestly had a batshit insane 1995. Misawa was at the peak of his powers, perhaps. I like everything this has to offer.

  14. Sasha Banks vs. Bayley at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn is five today. The most important WWE Women's match ever. A brilliant ***** match I'll be watching back today. I will say I'm in the minority preferring the Iron Man rematch at NXT TakeOver: Respect. I gave that the full five as well.

  16. I found a Tiger Jeet Singh vs The Sheik cage match on youtube and neither guy even bleeds in the first 3 minutes, what the fuck. I turned it off.

  17. I think it is an improvement on the performance center and hopefully they can improve on the presentation.

  18. That's the thing about virtual fans. I don't know if their feed is on delay and even if it's not, people don't watch TV at home and clap their hands and shit like that. They just watch.

  25. I don't say it lightly.. that's the segment of the year so far. Mr. Brodie fucking Lee. But everyone played their part so well, Tony Schiavone, Cody Rhodes, Arn Anderson, etc.. AEW bringing back memories.

  26. That closing segment was everything it needed to be. Not just great, dramatic title change / heel beatdown stuff but it adds legitimacy to everybody in that stable. Now let's get the fucking ball rolling for Brodie Lee vs. Lance Archer at All Out. All-evil clubberfest with a rematch in a cage booked for TV two or three weeks later. Brodie promoing against Jake. Archer in a just-slightly-competitive handicap match against the Beaver Boys. It'd be hard to mess that up. EDIT: OK, not All Out, the next one.

  29. Luckily you and @EVA aren't being forced to play this game ? It's refreshing, to me, because I don't give a single fuck about another Batman game. But to be completely honest I'm more hyped for the Suicide Squad game.

  30. Little-known factoid. KFC started in Seattle when the "Col." was working at the Twin Teepees on Aurora Ave N. I must admit that I prefer Popeye's to any other chain, but we don't have one any closer than two hours away. I like Popeye's a lot, but not enough for a two-hour drive. If we have to go that far, I'm having Mongolian Grill.

  31. Picked my new pairs of glasses today. Loved the first pair as soon as I tried them on after my eye test. The second pair is really different for me, blue with tortoise arms. I usually stick to black. August 2020.

  32. The DO stuff with Colt is real good. The Putties are a good way to protect Brodie. I do think Uno/Grayson should have been the team to beat Omega/Page though.

  34. Why isn't your champion in the front? Where is his belt? Why is only one match (Drew vs Orton) presented, what are Austin und Undertaker even doing there? Oh hi, AJ...

  35. Honestly, Eric Bischoff is "blessed" with one of the singularly most naturally heel, punchable faces I have ever seen. I can't find a picture of him to dispute this. Taking him out of the booth and making him the nWo mouthpiece was honestly the best possible thing that could ever happen to him.

  38. Fan of Yoshihiro Tajiri since he debuted in ECW. Tajiri was on fire in 2000. The best Tajiri/Super Crazy match, a Mexican Death Match. ECW on TNN, 15th January 2000. 2000 also gave me one of my favourite ever tag teams, the Unholy Alliance with Mikey Whipwreck and the Sinister Minister. For years I kept looking for that and the full version was added two years ago on YouTube:
