  1. Rey vs Marko Stunt. With Rey bringing the bully heel power offense and getting tied in the ropes Andre style.

  2. Related to that idea - I absolutely adore the kid who loses his shit when Ron Simmons wins the title I remember when I cared about things...

  3. Economic realities aside, I'm suspect of anyone who won't admit how cool would it be to have Tony Schiavone call a Rey vs Jericho match on TNT in 2020. That's like WCW Christmas

  4. I'd love for Rusev to show up in ROH as Miro Briscoe, the Briscoes Bulgarian-redneck cousin.

  6. That isn't what Jimmy said when he was asked about it almost 5 years ago. "Brother I am tired of the lies and half truths spread about me online.... IT WAS THE MIDNIGHTS THAT WALKED IN NOT THE ROCK N ROLLS!"

  7. Ok I think might have it. Cody and Tony Khan having a chat earlier in the week. “Tony, I have this great idea. I bring my new car up to the show, cuz I got my tattoo on the front of it and-“ ”you got your tattoo on your car?” ”yeah and get this. We have a camera inside so I can do my acting and stuff. You know I was in Arrow.” ”hold on a second. Where were you when Jake Roberts was humping your wife in the ring last week?” ”coming up with this idea. So Jake Roberts is doing his promo and you can hear this engine revving, cuz my car is loud. Really loud. So cool. So I’m revving up the engine, then I drive it through all the barricades down to the ring and kick Archer’s ass! Huh? How about that?!” ”uh... yep. That’s great” then as the show is beginning, Tony has some reservations. “Listen, Code, thing is, last week Sammy got run over by a giant golf cart and I think we should lay off the vehicular man slaughter for, oh I dunno, 2 weeks of television?” ”oh but Toonneeee, I brought my car all the way here and it’s really loud and my wife thinks I’m cool.” ”how about... you just rev the engine a little bit, then get out all steamed and start whooping Archer?” ”just rev the engine? No way, man. I gotta smash stuff up, like a badass, it could be my Steve Austin zamboni moment. I gotta smash stuff up” ”well... uh... run over that bucket” ”DEAL!”

  9. Oh lord, Rey's entire tour should be 20 minute epics with everyone sandwiched around a 50-second Yano fuck finish.

  11. Well, shit. I'll have to check that out. And Excalibur was on AEW's Unrestricted podcast. He said he got a lot of the move names from Fire Pro Wrestling 6 Man Scramble and also put up a translation guide on Gamefaqs. So I present to you Excalibur AKA The Mysterious Kagura. https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/saturn/574126-fire-prowrestling-s-6men-scramble/faqs/5232

  15. One of my favorite things in wrestling is when a small-time promotion has a guy doing a rich snob gimmick and he is obviously wearing a $50 suit.

  17. I wish had got the Rey vs Liger match we were supposed to get about 2 years ago. I think he and Cody would have a better match than they did years ago considering Cody is much better now plus they'd have a great backstory for the match. AEW treats Legends so much better than WWE. He'd do fine ending his Career there although I wouldn't trade his matches with Andrade for anything I don't think he have matches at that level with anyone else in WWE atleast

  18. I loved Hondo in Rebels. It's like, he's not a TERRIBLE person, but I can't help but love the fact that every time he shows up, things go off the rails because he can't help but serve his own interests. He knows he can talk Ezra into just about anything.

  19. That one red-haired lady ugly-crying when Savage and Liz reunite after the Savage/Warrior career-ending match is one of my favorite wrestling visuals ever. Every time, I'm touched that she's that touched at the resolution to this whole storyline.

  20. So James Harrison is getting his team in trouble again. On a Barstool podcast, he claims that Mike Tomlin gave him "an envelope" after the legendary hit on the Browns WR about 6 years ago. Can't remember the player but I mean he should have had 2 concussions after it. He was fined $75,000 Now Harrison, Tomlin, and Steelers claims that money was never given to Harrison to pay the fine. But I seriously doubt the envelope contained gift cards to Hooters.

  21. I thought Hondo worked rather well especially since Ezra was way more impressionable than Asoka and Anakin and was semi in the criminal lifestyle anyways. Lando was definitely more fan service than anything else. I was just happy to hear Billy Dee Williams voice.

  23. There's so many people I want to see Rey get to work with in NJPW before he retires. I have no idea how well it would go, but man, I want to see Rey vs Ishii. And obviously Rey vs Hiromu.

  24. Absolutely, if Taz had even a shred of his 'One Man Crime Spree' gimmick this might have some weight. Taz, the goofy commentator, should be of no interest to our loveable loner Derby. If Taz is a heel here, sure, and somebody pointing out how dumb Darby was (made to look) is fine. But said person, or Taz, should be beaten mercilessly for talking out of turn like that. And spot on with the Jake Roberts analysis. There it is. More so he's just not prepared. I know Jon loves his creative freedom, but his casual take on doing promos is shining thru. I have no problem with a well dressed asskicker. But yes indeed that was a hilarious misfire. Special thanks to @Mr Harms for the creative team renactment. Suge's Giant Baba build - spot on! I was so happy when Jericho's back elbow made short work of that 'fruit booty'. The JR hate is in full effect here this week. I do not align myself with this hate brigade. Never been a huge fan of JR to begin with, but I generally have liked him because I can mostly ignore him. Some of the points raised that go against the product are exaggerated to support an argument. The Penelope Ford thing is just funny to me. That said, and obviously I don't know there working situation, but Tony Khan would be wise to work a bit closer with Old JR to make some positive changes and bring him into the year 2020. Considering he's been doing all of what's being complained about since the beginning, this is on management.

  25. Lego Ninjago Movie game is free on Xbox One, PS4 and Steam. Looks like it might be today only, so get in on it if you want it! It's one of the few Lego games I haven't played, but I imagine it's pretty decent. You pretty much know what you're in for with those games...

  26. First match on the docket for next week is Claude Montourcy vs Tommy Mann. Mann is a Brit they're calling an American and he has an entry on the Benny Hill wiki site, so that's a thing. He's a stocky bruiser able to expertly get a rise out of the crowd here. Montourcy is a pretty typical 50s French babyface, slick, quick, and fiery. See, slick and quick (and a little annoying actually): I love this escape so much: After a couple of minutes of the above, Mann unloads on him. I like the wobbly selling. I included the chinlock for a reason. Much like old British wrestling, you can chain a takedown and a subsequent hold but you can't attack a downed opponent. Mann gets heat by launching the uppercuts/forearms without good cause, but he gets way more by putting on a simple chinlock illegally. That really pissed off the crowd:

  27. Speaking of things WON related The angle with Rey Misterio Jr is because he hasn't signed a new deal yet and this is a way for him to be written off if he doesn't re-sign (though the expectation is that he will)

  29. That's correct! When this game was out originally, I was in the private sector and worked with a Scottish guy who gave me dirty looks whenever I butchered the name. One day out of pure frustration he just yelled out KET SHEE, DAMMIT~!

  32. 1. Everyone should watch the last 5-10 minutes of the second Gallery: Mandalorian thing on Disney+ to hear Filoni talk about Phantom Menace and Duel of the Fates. 2. We're through the first five episodes of Season 2 of Rebels. 7 year old was delighted to see Rex again and exasperated to see Hondo.

  36. I'm excited for all of the casting news for the Mandalorian, but that series needs to be more than what it was in the first season. Mandalorian was both one of the coolest series I saw and at the same one of the most boring. I swear you could get by with maybe 4 episodes from season 1 where the rest was just the most filler crap ever. I'm hoping season 2 is more engaging and consistent from start to finish.
