  4. I am connected with him on Linkedin he has been working with schools and doing assemblies about the dangers of drinking and driving. His young daughter was killed by a drunk driver not long ago. I know he may have been shitty in the past but he seems like a decent guy now.

  6. Best episode of Dynamite in its short lifetime. Probably the best episode of TV wrestling I’ve watched in a long time. Also for a small market town, Cedar Park felt like it was Baltimore in the 80’s. Whoever directed this should walk out before the end of the night, and take a bow.

  7. Once, in about 1995, Bret Hart was a guest on British Saturday morning kids TV. The presenter asked him if he could show them any moves that would work for self defence. He demonstrated a Side Russian Legsweep.

  8. I'd go for Rey Mysterio Jr., and then I think that they should get into an argument about who is the kind of the Jr./Cruiserweights and then they should have a blood fued for Liger's American retirement tour. That can happen right? Please? I already miss Liger, despite not watching much of his work of the last few years. I just want to know he's in a wrestling ring somewhere. I'm not crying, you're crying.

  12. This week we have the earliest Finlay match on tape that we think exists in the wild (and that is brand new to the community like ALL this footage), a raucous, crowd-pleasing tag team match between two experts in Guy Mercier and Alan Mitchells and a real master of stooging in Ian Gilmour with Finlay as his bruising and bumping heavy. and maybe my favorite match we've watched so far with Jean Bout, who we'd never heard of but is just beyond great, taking on a real scumbag in Liano Pellacani. Watch this one. @DEAN, @Goodear @OSJ @supremebve @jaedmcthat means you (and everyone else too). 13. A webcomic that has absolutely nothing to do with pro wrestling that I look at just made a subtle Orange Cassidy reference in the subtext. As for Golden, hopefully Cody remembers what Dusty did for Bubba early in his career- you don't use someone that big as a jobber, you have them be muscle for someone while squashing folks to get experience and build them up. Maybe stick her with Britt?

  14. That’s how good Bret is. Even on his downtime he was still training himself, and young lions like Mr. Money in the art of combat.

  17. This show had fat man clubbering, so it was automatically awesome. Stu Bennett got me with some Heenan-esque heel commentator trolling: "Tim Storm's been hit so hard, he doesn't recognize his own mom." Got me to genuinely laugh there.

  26. Considering the goober leading it I find that more accurate than the actual Dark Order. And pivoting over to his fiancee, that biting segment with Shayna was dumb when you saw just how fake the blood was. And on first watch it seemed like the crowd was not concerned but just confused by the whole thing. Considering there's no reason why Shayna decided to be a vampire I'm confused by this as well. That and Becky had issues at points covering up her neck which revealed absolutely no bite marks at all. But hey, at least we got a GTA dub over her ambulance scene so it's not a complete loss.

  28. Honestly, do people in Saudi Arabia care about wrestling enough to have something like this? I legitimately don't know. Wrestling isn't exactly new and I kind of feel like any place that wants wrestling already have it. The United States, Japan, Mexico, Canada and to a lesser part the UK seem to be the places who love wrestling. Everyone else is kind of indifferent. Spending the kind of money it would take to push this to places who have not shown much interest in wrestling seems weird to me. Then again, there is a second XFL going on, so what do I know.

  29. That Shida match with Cassandra Golden wasn’t half bad. This will sound like a weird compliment, but I’ll say it. Golden wrestles like a woman’s version of Roadblock. Basically sloppy big woman wrestler, but has a potential to be molded into something if she isn’t given up on. I think she has a lot of potential. Not enough big women in wrestling today outside of Nyla, and Reina Gonzalez over at NXT who I don’t believe is used much. They should call her back to be used as enhancement talent to give her more TV experience, and when she’s ready do something with her.

  30. You knew I'd bring this one up. Any match with Bull and Aja is sure to be close to GOAT but HH '97 was one of the few nights I was proud to be a fan of pro wrestling.. Rey and Eddie fucking tore this house down.

  36. There's some sort of "backlash" against it within the nerd/social network community apparently and is one of the reasons it's not doing well. What is the backlash? Well, apparently these morons are uncomfortable with women having fighting skills and beating up a bunch of dudes. I hate people.
