  3. Really good show. Not much to complain about at all! Good: the 4-way tag was right up my alley. Please inject crazy fast-paced arcade wrestling right into my veins. Awesome how, eve with all the craziness, they still kept it a smartly-booked match with the Elite interactions and page's stuff. Phenominal. I'm really liking the slow build with Page turning or at least going his own way. Drunken Page getting aggressive with SCU with Kenny trying to make peace was so good. After being a bit of a joke for a while, and doing alot of the cowardly stooging heel thing, the Inner Circle had a great beatdown on Moxley. Moxley winning with a secondary finish (choke/sleeper) was wonderful. Wrestling needs to do more of this. I like the New Japan-esque unofficial/official #1 contenders tournament I hope the Nightmare Collective losing clean means they're phasing out the angle or at least taking some of the attention away from it. I don't know what led to Kong not being cleared but it feels like she's probably close to not being cleared every single week. It's probably a good idea just to cut bait and keep her in her backstage role. Nice to see B&B on the winning side of things. As Casey said, the people downplaying Chuck Taylor can piss off. He fucking brought it in that tag. I'm looking forward to Janela/Fenix next week. The Blade looks like the version of Ole Anderson you'd see in one of those Legends of Wrestling PS2 games That great, quick promo by Moxley at the end really shows off the difference between this and WWE. Quick, unscripted fired up promo where the guy is allowed to say "title shot" vs verbose, lifeless scripted to hell and back diatribe where the guy says "championship opportunity." Bad: Shida seemed off in that tag match. I'll chalk it up to one opponent being, as someone else said, maybe a little nervous about the big stage, and the other opponent being Brandi. Luther out there spamming his taunt like he was trying to fill his Special meter. Nobody running in to save Moxley. Announcers throwing it to the back afterwards saying "there's chaos back there," and there wasn't. It was just the Inner Circle walking and then getting interviewed. Wut? QT Marshall's logo looks like a grocery store insignia

  4. The Pistols have an out though; They only recorded one studio album and Sid Vicious wasn't in the band when they did it. Glen Matlock wasn't fired yet. And if you're listening to live bootlegs from when Sid was in the band, he's famously hidden low in the mix, if he's even plugged in at all.

  11. Trevor Bauer is laughing his ass off right now. Also, a manager being shown the door before managing his first game - while the team could have had Girardi but were too cheap to pay him - is so Peak Metropolitans I feel like we're in the last panel of the Galaxy Brain meme.

  14. Jessica Mendoza seems like a dumb person: https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/jessica-mendoza-mets-adviser-calls-out-whistleblower-mike-fiers-as-carlos-beltrans-future-remains-unclear/ She should probably stick to collecting her paycheck from NYM and being the most tolerable part of a bad three person booth on Sunday night national games. Being disappointed in a guy for outing some straight up fuckery that tarnishes the integrity of the game seems like a bad take.

  18. Gotta give JR some props for finding some passion and a connection to a lot of the main characters in AEW (though it's really easy to know who he really believes in) after I thought he was done. He's still not anywhere his peak and still makes old man mistakes from time to time but he's an asset in terms of adding to the show instead of just being a familiar voice for lapsed fans.

  22. Opening match was a fine example of that kind of bout. Page looked like hurt his arm catching the Trent/Matt superplex. Either that or I bit on some semi-convincing selling. Count me among those who aren't big on the Chuckie T hype, even though I can't remember expressing it all that loudly. Although the guy has a decent Twitter, whatever that's worth. Finish to the opener sucked. There've been chaotic blind tags the whole match, so there's no credible reason for the Bucks to be pissy about it unless they're the ones who're gonna turn at the end of this mess. Also, how far from the corner was that last tag? JR encouraging me to do some research on Luther was amusing. You first, Jim. There's nothing exciting in this women's division right now, and I wonder if the solution is Britt Baker. The Dork Order still sucks. Speaking of the invisible camera, I think I'd be less susceptible to the Legion of Losers' advances if I'm Nakazawa or Page and I see a segment on Dynamite where they outright say they're trying to recruit me for this gang of underachieving LARPers, . Liked the submission finish on Moxley-Guevara. Hager and Sammy both got a chuckle out of me at the end of the Jericho promo. Six-man tag did what it needed to. Amused by Dustin doubling down on the destroyer and busting out the ever-stupid Panama Sunrise. Main event was probably my favourite PAC match in AEW so far. Darby delivers again. He's been a rousing success and it's probably time for him to start winning some of these big matches.

  23. People need to just stop announcing dates for shit.

  24. My thing isn't necessarily if people WANT to watch his matches now. It's the fact that they outright (and was the right thing to do) erased him from history, and then flash forward to the network launch where it is OPERATION SUPER PROFIT. They actively made the decision to keep him there and it definitely wasn't OH STORYLINE PURPOSES or satisfying completist wrestling fans. Fucking Jim Fullington and Jerome Young have all their character aura removed because Enter Sandman and Natural Born Killaz can't be played on the network and you have to listen to generic ass music for several minutes. With that said, that's not as important as someone killing somebody in real life. WWE is not a mom and pop operation straining for cash. They can take him off in a day.

  25. If that’s actually the case they should consider letting him go and signing her. I think she has a lot more upside than him. And the women’s division isn’t compelling while I don’t think Sorry dude, don’t lose fights to middle aged announcers. Anyway, I’m fine with no one coming to aid Moxley. A month ago he said he was going to destroy everyone. I know it’s probably leading to a break up and feud but I’m surprised by how much I actually like Omega and Hangman as a tag team. I think they could actually be really good as a tag team if they stuck with it.

  26. Chucky T is the shit and I won't allow any besmirching of his good name. @Technico Supportthe announcers said that Moxley was on his own because he doesn't have any friends. I think my biggest complaint all night was probably Mel and Shida in that tag match. Shida at one point was being held down by Mel and Shida threw what were, I think, the weakest looking punches ever. She barely even touched Mel, if she even did, and Mel is selling each one. I thought that was a bad look. Thankfully the rest of the night was awesome.

  27. What a crock of shit. Re-edit the shit out of 12 years of wrestling shows or you're a profiteer, despite going very far out of your way not to promote anything about Benoit.

  28. The Soul Patrol were my pro wrestling heroes when I was a kid. It kinda broke my heart to learn later on that Johnson and Atlas could not stand each other, but Atlas had a drug problem he refused to deal with and his unreliability killed the chemistry.. At the height of their run, it was cool to see guys in the ring that looked like me, handled business, and were the biggest baby faces in the fed. My favorite Soul Patrrol match would naturally feature the Rock's dad vs. the Rock's uncles. RIP, "Soul Man" Rocky Johnson.

  35. What an absolutely beauty of a show. One of the, if not the best episodes to date. Two excellent matches with the opener all action and the crowd eating it all up and the main event being more of a storytelling match of perseverance meeting its match in an awesome ass kicker. Then we had the DDP comeback match that was just about perfect other than the production botch of the finish, and even then that kind of out of nowhere finish makes sense for a spoiler like MJF. He is already a star in the making but he's going to be a mega star. Just so much charisma, ability, and understanding. Those bumps in the match: the one off the turnbuckle and the other off the destroyer were so fucking money. The troll t-shirt. Just great shit. Air DDP! He looked good even if the Diamond Cutter didn't have the bang it used to, he's 63 years old. And we got a callback to the Dusty/Road Warriors spike angle. AAARRRRRRR! (And Sammy hitting on Sterger, another great heel). Hell ya. And the draw between Mox and Pac looks like it was part of a long-term plan. Awesome! And they're hyping a match on TV a month in advance in addition to doing a great job of building up next week's cruise show. However, this Brandi shit... It just puts a damper on the whole show. Listen to the crowd prior to that match and then after. During it, you could hear a fuckin' mouse fart. Just awful. STAAAHP, PLEASE. And holy hell that "lifeguard" with the built-in flotation devices... Way too over the top. eeeuUUUUGH?

  39. You know who should win? Undertaker. He enters at 30, eliminates the last guy (Lesnar) in seconds, they do a 10 minute special at Mania so Taker gets revenge for the streak and wins the belt, then he can retire the next night on Raw for a huge rating. It gives the good guy a proper send off and finality on a year’s long storyline and a fitting tribute for the one guy who’s always been a force for the company. Brock won’t be delivering any classics or putting over any up and comers anyway, may as well get a feel good moment out of it. But WWE is petty, your supposed to go out on your back, etc. A man can dream, can’t he?

  41. Back in my day, wrestlers helped take down the ring and got a cold hot dog from the concession stand (if they were lucky), and they LIKED IT! Some of the lower-card guys' broken bodies were used for kindling by the promoter if the winter was particularly harsh, and they LIKED IT!
