  2. I'll let you know how much of a fucking nerd I am, I saw Man on the Moon, the Andy Kaufman movie at like age 12 or 13 maybe 12 a week before Halloween and I decided to go as Andy Kaufman the wrestler so I wore a long sleeve thermal shirt long john thermal pants gym shorts over the pants and I had a attitude era championship foam belt I wore around my waist. Nobody knew who i was supposed to be. Edit: Just to give you some context this would have been 2002 or 2003 so the gimmick was over 20 years old at the point and nobody my age had any clue and I lived in Washington state nowhere near Memphis so it was absurd from the get go but I did it and I don't regret it.

  12. Tuesday afternoon: get notification that I am being given a conditional offer of employment for a state government position I interviewed for last month, pending a background check; I already work for the state, so a.) this is more of a promotion, and b.) whatever background they want of me, they probably have most of it. Now I just wait for the final word. Thursday afternoon: I won a $50 gift card to Giant (supermarket chain on the east coast) by calling into a radio contest.

  15. That finish was horrible though. Randy clearly got gunshy and got the fuck out of Dodge WAY too early and Jeff looked like a fucking idiot. Replaying it to death only made it worse. If anything, I now have way more respect for Zayn and Owens perfectly dodging the Shane McMahon missile.

  16. I'm sure glad that badass face Becky Lynch didn't become dumb like all other WWE faces and was smart enough not to fall for Charlotte's obvious attempt to sucker her in for a handshake sneak attack.

  24. The problem is they work overtime to protect him and have him destroy port-a-johns for giggles. Is he a monster or a jolly giant? He threw KO off a cage n a nonsense rage and this week, we'll see him make kissy faces with Alexa. It's absurd at this point. I'm not nearly high on Braun as many here. However, something has to give.

  29. Jeff Hardy is claiming that he will do something tonight that has never been done before in a Hell in the Cell match. That could be anything with Jeff given how crazy he is. If he wanted to do something absolutely crazy it would be have a match against Randy Orton that people would be interested in

  31. I am proud of that costume. I cost me know money, It was more of a nod to Jim Carrey at the time than Kaufman cuz since I was a kid i've been a huge fan of his work and I was blown away by that Andy movie and I started to dig into Andy Kaufman after that movie.

  34. God damn, the first two episodes of this season's Always Sunny are so great. Pretty much everything about the premier was perfect, from the self-destructive tendencies just the idea of Dennis instills in everybody, to playing off both sides of the political debate being the perfect scheme for this group when not led by an insane person, to the sex doll itself... Holy shit. Some of the best stuff they've ever done. And with Glenn Howerton's full return and Dennis going even more psychotic, it really does remind me how sad it is that Howerton didn't get the Ted Bundy role. That man was made for that role from his appearance to his mannerisms.

  38. Yeah, I tried adding Impact back into my viewing rotation fairly begrudgingly when their last PPV got rave reviews, but it's starting to grow on me. The one thing it does that WWE sorely misses is that different feuds cross over and interact with each other sometimes. Two guys starting a programme doesn't seem to automatically lock them into a bubble for three months until they've had five matches where you know the first four won't matter, there are diversions to keep it interesting. That way you can have corny bollocks like Scarlet Bordeaux appearing out of thin air and LAX running over children, but maintain the integrity of the ludicrous world they're presenting.

  43. They tried turning Bad News babyface in Stampede. Didn't really work. His best work was talking shit about Stu Hart, his brat kids and how they were holding him and the rest of the heels down.

  44. Here are a few I tune into. American Horrors is still around and seems to have a running live stream. Some interesting weird offerings too. There is also one called Horror Habit that seems to start a movie randomly whenever you launch the app. I haven't checked it out enough to know if the catalog is any good. Of course, Shudder has four live streams going for subscribers along with the VOD catalog. And also Joe Bob Briggs will seemingly be live again in November and December and live for a regular weekly series next year. Grindhouse Grit has a "live" feature, but it's really just a random selection that starts playing. It's a very cheap subscription. ($2 a month) and has some nice things in the exploitation genre (a Russ Myers collection and some Jess Franco, etc.). Blue Mermaid is basically the same company and same price ($2/m) for a similar but not entirely overlapping selection. Cult TV a Go Go is a slightly different model. For 99 cents a month they upload two reels of movies each week (plus 5 or 6 bonus features). The two main reels are usually three random weird movies. The bonus are usually one movie or a few episodes of some weird old tv or something else. For $1 a month it's a nice gamble. Usually at least one is episodes of Dark Shadows. Midnight Pulp is pricier at $5/m but is a very slick and professional looking app/site. It seems to have a lot on it as well and might be worth a seasonal subscription.

  45. Becky’s not a face. She’s a bad friend, a sore loser, entitled, and a cheap-shot artist. And a potty mouth. I’m surprised someone like you would let those facts slide. I expect you to be overly critical, man.
