Minoru Suzuki recently tweeted something that I think fits really comfortably within the sentiments expressed in that paragraph, regarding the vulnerability/invincibility duality inherent in pro wrestling:

Many of the FMW commercial tapes from the 90s and early 00s can be found in full on youtube. Like ECW, whose workers they sometimes used, it's not for everyone's taste. But also like ECW, there's good wrestling in there amidst the garbage. (Megumi Kudo vs Combat Toyoda exploding barbwire death match is IMO one of the greatest women's matches of the 90s, in a decade where the Japanese women were doing outstanding work)

Too many matches on one show ending with a roll-up. But if that's the only criticism of an Impact show, at first glance...that's amazing.

Yes to all of this. It took me a few viewings, but I love the director's previous movie Beyond The Black Rainbow. This movie looks amazing.

I've been dealing with my dad's dementia for a while now and one thing I have learned is that you can handle more than you think you can. The key is to set up a daily or weekly ritual for yourself that is dedicated to de-stressing. Now you know why I play video games so much. Give yourself time to grieve so that you purge all of that negative energy out of your sprit. That way you can go on with your life remembering the happy times when your aunt was happy and in good health.

Watching BTE and Adam Page clearly has the best 1980s sitcom smile during the intro and his smile is pretty great in general. Maybe he has untapped potential as a white meat babyface. I've never bought into his tough guy routine, so hopefully he gets a shot down the line.That is all. Edit: I really do enjoy the Kazarian/Daniels good cop/bad cop behind the camera routine. Frankie killed Scurll so hard. Big fan of the random SCU shouts too. One thing they've overstretched this season is the Lethal/Macho skits.

No one who was comped sat close enough to even come near the ring which was the real problem because once people started throwing shit in the ring the whole arena decided to try which meant if you weren’t in the nose bleeds you were getting a worse soda/beer shower then any wrestler ever did. Security lax? I remember it like yesterday having gone to the ice palace previously for hockey games where their was a security or staff member every 5 feet you walked but at Nitro their was 0 security and the hallways were filled with people smoking it blew my mind at the time.

One of the other big problems with discussing the WON HOF is that so much of it is predicated on drawing power and relative card placement, both over time, which really can be the least interesting elements of wrestling to talk about. I promise you I enjoyed the discussions we did for the PWOGWE project (quick results here: http://gweproject.freeforums.net/thread/3/pwo-2016-greatest-wrestler) or the DVDVR AWA set far more than any discussions I've ever had on the WON HOF. The most interesting things to argue about in wrestling are the aesthetics.

I really think that the chemistry whenever Luke Cage and Danny Rand are together on screen is the only that saved Iron Fist in the MCU going forward.
