  1. I can't believe they're still punishing him for the curtain call.

  2. HHH doing a job to Jinder in India to keep the title on AJ while giving Jinder the conquering hero moment would replace NXT and the Performance Center as HHH's biggest contribution to the company.

  3. Now I want to see HHH go over clean in five minutes, just to see if they can trigger a riot. If you're going to kill a town, murder it and burn it to the ground, I say.

  7. I don't think I've ever rooted for HHH to pedigree someone into Bolivian (tm Mike Tyson) moreso than I would if he fought Jinder.

  9. Show was a lot of fun live. They opened late for reasons they never told us, so it wasn't fun standing in the cold outside for 40 minutes, but the plus side of that was they rushed through the pre-prelim so there were none of those long breaks I am used to seeing at live shows. Clay Guida got the "Austin is returning to save the WWF" pop, not sure how it came across on TV but he was the most popular fighter of the night. Place was legit sold out (or at least full), everyone stayed pretty into it, which isn't surprising since it was UFC's first event in the area. Here is my view, pre-show, and a shot of the crowd around when the main show was starting: Course I'm insane, so I drove back home afterwards, getting back to my place a little after 5 AM. Glad that I went though, really the heavyweight fight was the only fight that had limited redeemable qualities, overall a really fun show.

  10. Dude. I know you think the gag will work as long as you keep at it. And that’s a wonderful work ethic. But stop. It’s sad at this point.

  11. My name officially went up in on the marquee for my first casino (new state) stand up comedy gig. Also, my wife ran for and won a city council seat. Life is pretty solid.

  13. This might have got posted in 2011, but what the hell. When dozens of scientists and other 'thought leaders' were asked by Edge.org "WHAT SCIENTIFIC CONCEPT WOULD IMPROVE EVERYBODY'S COGNITIVE TOOLKIT?", one answered: Kayfabe.

  15. "They are sharing some DNA right now" "he is donating pints" "it's like a grease pit in there...... you might as well have baby oil in there" the commentary during the second round was outstanding!

  16. What tickled me about Twitch boy was that his APEX was over 50,000, but he deferred everything to his little buddy, who was at 32,000. After I was splitting for the night, little buddy made it sound like I had passed the audition and thus could be on their team again, and I wanted to scream MY APEX IS 9,000 HIGHER THAN YOURS, CHIEF. Apparently, he missed the memo with the news that we've got this shit. Gotta love the Internet.

  18. It was clear Corgan actually gave a damn about TNA and was willing to put in the effort to make it work. Oh, well. Their loss is NWA's gain.

  28. Motherfuckers still sleeping on how great Bane actually was. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I liked Bane more than The Joker in those Nolan films.

  29. Gaethje is a less athletic, sloppier, and more dinged up version of Poirier. He has heart and superhuman recovery abilities, I'll give him that. UFC's run of good shows will likely come to a screeching halt either next week or the week following. Not a whole lot of appealing fights from what I can see. Brooks/Lentz is hidden on the prelims for some reason next week. I am unfamiliar with 90% of the fighters on the Shanghai card. I hope I'm just ignint and there are some pleasantly surprising quality fights.

  31. Cracked me up. You went from pretty damn lucid straight to much drunkern in one moment. It was hilarious. More from our soon-to-be loyal viewers: "Who's that guy? I didn't even know he was on here. Oh shit, he's been passed-out drunk for two hours with his headset on?" This is how we get famous, dalmit.

  37. Both my stepdad and step sister had they're thyroids removed due to cancer. Her at just 18 years old. I'm so happy for you and her that it wasn't that John. ------------ I got a snail mail British variation on a Nigerian Prince email scam today. I apparently won a British lotto but have to pay a fee to have the $130,000 (not pounds!) released internationally. I only mention it because, again, SNAIL MAIL. Someone spent actual postage on sending this from England.

  41. Yeah, the fact that this is one of "our programs" is the only thing that gets me to keep watching. The list of "our programs" has shrunk substantially. Lett's see, we used to have GOT, TWD, SOA. Breaking Bad, America's Got Talent, Preacher, RAW & SDL, (Kathy's now in one of her periodic bored with wrestling phases that can last anywhere from a few months to a decade. I never could get her into NXT or NJPW ), Bates' Motel, American Horror Story, River Monsters... We've each bailed on stuff to the point that our only mutual shows are GOT and TWD. She remains a fan of both zombie shows whereas I just couldn't be bothered with FTWD, just an absolute waste of time. TWD seems bound and determined to see just how far they can go when it comes to shitting on the audience...

  42. Also, Cornette has unearthed copies of the original Wrestling Gold five-disc DVD set, and is selling them on his site - for TEN DOLLARS. FOR THE WHOLE SET. I literally wore my copies out, which is hard to do with DVDs, but I did it. This is literally a steal at thrice the price. The Cornette/Meltzer commentary is fantastic - Cornette's breakdown of the Lawler-Bob Sweetan match is a lesson in Lawler crowd psychology.
