  1. Perhaps there is a key difference between a 300 lb man and a 90 lb woman being approached by strangers in the middle of the night that Bubba is overlooking.

  2. Also, I have a hard time believing Bully Ray is super-accommodating to all the neckbeards he meets in the airport at 5am.

  3. I'm gonna share my GIFs and vids regardless. Never claimed to be a good wrestler, especially now that I'm 42 and can barely walk from all the bumps I've taken in the past 15 years. If I was an exceptionally good wrestler I would be on the road full-time and you guys would be making comments about me on the RAW/SDL/Theoretical #2 Fed pages but I wouldn't know or care, right? The fact at my age and as banged up as I am, I can still go 40-50 times a year and I genuinely enjoy the experiences is enough. Last night I had a fun show where I put over a young lady (Bambi Hall) in the Main Event of a show where the building was too warm and the show had gone too long, and despite the crowd being exhausted we had them eating out of the palms of our hands and living and dying with everything we did in there. And then I stayed up until 3:30 in the morning enjoying talking about the business with four other workers over a few beers. Sure I'd prefer to be making enough bank to be able to buy front row tickets to Mayweather/MacGregor on a whim, but this will do me just fine. My only beef on this board is when someone has to be smart and go "well this shit is all fake anyway," because why the fuck are you commentating on pro wrestling simply to bitch that it's fake? Fuck off. Is there a Magician Message Board where dicks are constantly commenting THAT ELEPHANT DIDN'T DISAPPEAR IT WAS MIRRORZ!!!1!

  5. Also, making the announcement on LABOR DAY has got to be up there with the dumbest things WWE has done. And if it's a rib on the talent, that's even worse.

  9. Yeah, I understand your frustration, but most fans are perfectly happy with the ending and like speculating on what it all means. That's half the fun, to me. It's a cliffhanger but it's open ended and up to your interpretation. Just like most things involving Twin Peaks, really. It's just really amusing to see all the hate and "why didn't they resolve everything!" stuff when, y'know, this is a David Lynch project and it's not like he's known for that sort of thing. If you didn't gather from Episode 1 that this isn't going to be what you wanted out of a new season of Twin Peaks... then I don't really know what to tell you. It was always really on the nose about what this season was all about, and how people made it all the way through still thinking Lynch was going to end this with no lingering questions just absolutely dumbfounds me to my core. It's not what he does, and I don't know why people think he would change his ways now. EDIT: Unlike Horton, if there's a S4 (and I absolutely think there will be and it'll be the final one), I'm all in. I don't care if I'm the only one in this thread talking about it, I'll always watch more Twin Peaks. Oh, and just to piss some people off: If 10 is the number of completion like stated in the finale... S1 + S2 + S3 + S4 = 10.

  17. I agree to an extent, so I'm thinking it ought to be an over the top, anime looking one like it is but just less "I rushed out and this was the only thing the dollar store had". I love his character and for one hope he doesn't just drop the evil and daaaaarkness (Joe!) now that he's ascending to the top.

  19. It's actually closer to 20 divorces. There were some shotgun weddings and annulments in New Zealand and Tokyo, plus the time he married Jack Veneno to avoid a riot in the Dominican Republic.

  20. Yesterday I watched Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin Submission match at WrestleMania 13, an incredible match. Memorable entrances as glass panel saying Austin 3:16 breaks before Steve’s and Bret having to step over the glass as the fireworks go. The exchange of punches/taking it to the stands, the work on Austin’s injured leg by Bret. Steve Austin using the Stone Cold Stunner to buy him time, Austin working on Bret’s back looking for the submission and Bret uses the chair to the knee of Steve. The iconic finish as Bret locks Steve in the Sharpshooter for Austin trying to press out of it as blood drip down his face but Hart holds on, Austin passes out from the pain and the double turn is complete. One of the greatest matches of all time, fuck it may be the best...It is.

  22. I'm just disappointed that when Sasha said that a fatal four way would drop Alexa's chances of wining to 25%, she didn't use Steiner math to give herself a 500% chance of winning. "The numbers don't lie Alexa, and they spell disaster for you at No Mercy!"

  28. The keys in your post is USED TO. That's no longer a tradition, and with good reason. TV has changed. NFL/NBA will crush RAW on Christmas and college football destroys them on New Year's Day. No fan is rearranging their holiday schedule to even watch a mailed-in wrestling show, let alone travel to one. Plus, the talent today won't get paid more for working. At least during the territory era, the money made on Christmas shows meant something. RAW talent already have a downside and I'm sure they would happily make due with that than be away from their families two holidays in a row. I can't even see a scenario where WWE makes a lot of money from this. Ticket sales are likely to be poor both nights. Nothing about this decision makes senses other than Vince doing it, because Vince.

  30. Yeah, it's a completely different game now. I reset all my stuff and am starting to get back into it again. Contrast this with the way EA treated Mass Effect: Andromeda, where they've basically said "Fuck it" after the game's been out for less than six months.

  33. You don't need to cut the ring mats. As long a they're saved in .png format you just need to save them to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fire Prowrestling World\RingMats You would also need to create the rings in the game first, I'd have the mats and aprons white so they don't bleed into the logo. Do you have Carlzilla's mod? If so then you would just enable the Ring Texture mod and you can use them in there. Now there's an updated Carlzilla mod that enables arena and stage texture. I haven't gotten that yet but that might be a bit more involved than it was beforehand. With there being so many things you can do it's almost overwhelming what is possible with this. The guy really should just work for SC and find ways to get this goodness into the game from the start. I'm going to miss not having these options for the PS4 version.

  34. There were a ton of big Joshi events from mid to late August, and some of them have now made TV. Here are some of my favorite matches from the set: August 11th - Arisa Nakajima and Mima Shimoda vs. Nanae Takahashi and Tsukasa Fujimoto in SEAdLINNNG August 13th – Mayu Iwatani vs. Kagetsu in Stardom (Samurai TV Version) August 20th – Hiroyo Matsumoto vs. Hikaru Shida in OZ Academy August 24th – Arisa Nakajima and Tsukasa Fujimoto vs. Misaki Ohata and Ryo Mizunami in SEAdLINNNG I think that Hiroyo Matsumoto is having the best year of any Joshi wrestler, most would lean towards Io Shirai due to visibility (and the fact she is great) but Hiroyo has done so much this year against a wider variety of opponents. And people into attendances, four promotions had events with 1K+ announced attendances in August, which is always a good thing: WAVE, OZ Academy, PURE-J, and Ice Ribbon. Its nice to see multiple promotions at least drawing for their big events.

  43. I was watching someone doing those goofy-ass Crossfit kipping pullups yesterday and, as a 40+ guy, all I could think was, "I guess that's fine when you're young, but that's going to absolutely destroy your shoulders and elbows, maybe your neck, when you're older." Much like CTE, we're really not going to see the big picture until the Crossit generation is older. Ditto for Olympic-style lifting.
