  6. Speaking of Savage in Japan, last month on Youtube I found a couple of matches of him on some New Japan tour in 1995 and he had a damn good match with Jushin Thunder Liger. In the match he must have legit hurt his knee because on the next card he took on Flair and he was practically on one leg the entire match. I kinda miss that stuff. It's a shame the WWE won't let guys work Japan tours like they used to back in the day. It might let some people get some otherwise needed experience. But as we know everything must be the WWE style.

  11. I thought it was a good stop. DC was trying to recover but Jon made damn sure he didn't. Plus, BJM is going to give fighters in the biggest fights all the chances high level fighters deserve to recover. Happened in the FW title fight in June. Happened here so he is consistent. In addition, Cormier has been hurt badly before and recovered to win fights. Also, everyone knows Cormier would rather go out on his shield. Thems the breaks.

  12. DJKM77 is putting up templates (IE: "strong style", "ECW brawler") that if you are just looking to fiddle around with are probably right. http://steamcommunity.com/app/564230/discussions/0/2132869574271068019/ I'm also following Phil Parent, Brick9mm, and DeathByHighKick (MMA stuff). I think I also have quite a few of WhatsTheStatus WWE guys.

  17. Jaime learning from the way Robb kicked his ass was really good, and then Lady Oleana just buried his ass. This was a strong episode. I'm a sucker, but I'm really hoping Arya makes it to Winterfell and we get a Sansa-Bran-Arya-Jon reunion.

  19. Looks like my sleep meds have finally stopped working. Been taking 300mgs of trazodone to help me sleep since the fall of 2007. My doctor has been warning me that one day I would build up a tolerance to it. But the good news is my youngest son is one of the sweetest and nicest people on the planet. He has Aspergers so has issues dealing with various things. But his grandparents got him a job this summer. Now I figured he would use his paycheck to get more comics and legos. Nope each week when he gets paid he donates half his check to a local homeless shelter. Then spends the rest on comics and legos.

  24. Three things about this episode... "A finger in the bum" I got a little choked up when Sansa and Bran were reunited... until Spock opened his mouth. Gonna miss Lady Olenna.

  25. I've fallen behind the last week (on the Thursday show) but I must say that though he's still very rough around the edges, Kitamura gets "it". He's going to be so awesome once he becomes more fluid. Being a young lion doesn't really suit him, so I hope he goes on his excursion relatively early. I mean, I generally don't want athletes doing irreparable harm to their bodies with substance abuse but fuck it. LOOK AT HIM. And as far as Suzuki goes, this is his MO and has been forever afaik. He'll show up when he wants to but he is just the dirt worst when he's not in the right mood. I honestly don't know if he's worth the cost of protecting him for his one title challenge a year. I loved him in UWF but I just can't get on the Suzuki train all the way like most.

  26. The story would've worked more if Kojima actually landed his top shelf stuff (like the Cutter and Lariat) and got a couple close near falls before Omega panicked and started hitting the death stuff. I get what they were going for, but it didn't work out right.

  28. Atomic Blonde is the best Bond movie in a decade. The soundtrack is pretty great too, although it stumbles at the beginning by using Cat People, which Tarantino owns forever, and Under Pressure, which is in everything. Come on, if you're going to use Bowie in a movie set in Berlin there's choice stuff from Low and Heroes.

  29. Back when I was going thru Army BCT one day at the rifle range we got some MRE's from the WWII era. The food was the normal MRE crap. But most people were happy with the mini packs of cigs.

  30. Big John is one of the few referees that gets the benefit of the doubt, and I think he has earned that. I can see watching it in hindsight that there were probably four or five punches where DC was already out but in real time its just not that easy. The punches weren't landing super clean, and title fights tend to get a bit more leeway. If he had stopped it a few punches too early, even with the outcome inevitable, if DC had gotten back up it just would have been another controversy which is the last thing UFC needs.

  31. Watched this this morning and thought it was kinda bland and boring. They mostly borrowed the plot of the first anime movie, but it all seems sort of insubstantial when it's played as a straight action flick and doesn't have the philosophical bent about souls and identity. I was disappointed they tossed the original ending of the anime to show the Major back with Section 9, fighting crime. Shoehorning riffs from the SAC series for no real reason was an odd decision. For an action flick, I thought it was kinda boring. None of the stunts or fight sequences were particularly creative or interesting. Also didn't feel ScarJo and the writers captured the Major's persona particularly well.

  32. I don't think you can really judge DC's actions all that clearly. He was knocked severely unconscious just minutes prior to that and probably didn't understand the situation, and it was pretty much the worst case scenario for him professionally too. Does he retire after this? Does he go back to heavyweight? But then Jones may go to heavyweight, so...

  33. Yeah, sucks for DC but I don't think there's any shame being second best to the GOAT. He fought a close to perfect fight up to that point but Jones has too many tools and is too smart to keep down. Really nice comments by Jones.

  39. You basically came to the same conclusion he did with Mayweather/McGregor. His argument is boxing is chess and MMA is checkers (which I don't agree with but has its points) and someone with the discipline within the structure/rules of boxing after so many fights is always going to win. Meanwhile, being a wrestling fan, I told him it's a work and someone is just gonna take a fall so they can make their way to the pay windah haha
