  5. I'm surprised (not really) that they haven't added more subscription options than just the $9.99 a month option. Like a prepaid nonrefundable year's sub @ $100 or 6 @ $50. Would help with the retention numbers. Some people going to be nervous for the next week or so. Wade: 'Ello. WWE: Hello, Wade. Bad news, Barrett. Wade: Yes. WWE: No, I've got bad news. Wade: Yeah, that's me. WWE: No, I've got some bad news for you. Wade: Yeah, that's my gimmick. WWE: Never mind. *click* WWE: Hello, Zack. Zack: Woo woo w... WWE: You're fired. Zack: ...ooo.

  6. Just ended my night by being a dickhead real quick. This guy invited me into his chopper, but little did he know that I "modified" it for him.

It burns up, dies And a dark shadows falls over her soul From the ashes of a once delightful lady, has risen a curse A wrong that must be righted We look to the skies for a vindicator, someone to strike fear into the black hearts of the ratchet bosses who created her The battle between good, and evil has begun Against an army of BFFs, lies the dark warrior The ponytail of good With a high five of silence And a hug of justice It's Bayley.

  11. No, he always stops at beer 2. I do need to take out my frustrations on complete strangers. The best part of RUkered's little explosive deal is he was flying over Mount Vesuvius, so that poor bastard in the helicopter is gonna respawn on top of a mountain, about 2 million miles from being able to call for any kind of transportation. Put on your walkin' shoes, pal. Where's the Wolf~! been? Fall break over at his middle school?

  12. His second wife used to bleach his hair for him. They got divorced. His hair started falling out and just like that, he's a hundred years old. Same thing happened to Hulk Hogan. His wife used to bleach his hair for him. Got divorced, Hogan tried to bleach his own hair, what he had left fell out and now he has some cheap weave hanging off the back of his head and he's a hundred years old. The moral is if your wife takes care of your hair, don't divorce her until you've got a backup lined up.

  13. Since it's guaranteed to be on for at least 39 episodes - maybe it should have it's own thread? My first show Pro's & con's... PRO: - Show looks different & feels different. In a good way. That's the most important thing right there. It's not trying to be WWE which is what a lot of new wrestling companies fail at right away. - Dario Cueto was a fantastic choice for the role. Speaks well & has on-screen presence. - The backstage videos shot like movie scenes (sort of like GTA style cut-ins) were tremendous. Way better than the over-produced stuff WWE does where guys aren't even looking at each other & clearly reading off cue cards. I typically hate stuff on wrestling shows that isn't actual wrestling but these segments were the highlight of the show for me. - Both the introduction videos for Sexy Star & Prince Puma were great. Very happy the decision was made to introduce the new charachters rather than throw people out there with zero explanation as to who they are. I wasn't even mad both of them ended up losing their matches because clearly this is just the start of stories that will go on through the season. - Main event was excellent. Exactly what it should have been which is the type of match you won't see in WWE. Every week needs to have a match like that, maybe two. Even the post-match angle was done great and quick. We know who the bad guys are, we know why they were there and we have our first storyline going forward without a 20 minute speech from someone in a suit telling us why he did what he did. - Show has a very Mortal Kombat-ish feel. I APPROVE! CON: - Ceiling cam is good before a match or when two guys are down on the mat selling. During the match it's distracting and offers no value. - Camera cutting to the announcers is a nice trick for editing purposes but is also a completely distracting shot that makes the product look bad. We can hear the announcers, we know they're there. No need to show us. - I would rather watch matches uncut/unedited but if you insist on edits all I ask is you do it by inserting replays or cutting to realistic crowd shots. I noticed a few jump cuts of the action in the ring that is very jarring and looks quite amateur-ish when guys go from one side of the ring facing one side of the arena to a completely different area 1 second later. - Vampiro needs someone to give him direction & enforce the point he's just an announcer. He shouldn't be always talking about his own career or making it seem like he could wrestle the guys in the ring. He's an old guy (as we saw many times when the camera cut to him) who should have no business even pretending he could hang with anyone on the show. He should just be a voice and nothing more. - AUTHENTIC LUCHADORES! Okay... I guess that's coming in episode 3 so I can't wait!

  18. I'd say both would help. None of the network content really jumped out at me save the post Mania and Summerslam specials. They need to be doing that all the time. And, well, the TV right now is hit or miss at best to me with no real direction outside of about 6 guys. Hard to be invested in the current program, Here's the biggest thing they have to do. They have to make things feel important and can't miss. It's a problem with the start-stop nature of pushes and the amount of TV they have to fill an the even-stevens win-trading, but that's the biggest thing. People watch TV shows when they feel like they can't miss them. People buy the comics that feel like they "count" even if they're a dollar more than the rest of the line. if that means do a title change on Main Event 6 times a year and then only show still shots on Raw and Smackdown, so be it. If that means have major story angles drop on Superstars, there you go.

  20. So apparently, I am the only one who saw the Charles Rosa fight. If they are so worried about something crazy happening, you book Aldo vs. McGregor right away. The 3 round vs. 5 round thing is really irrelevant because the proverbial puncher's chance thing applies to virtually every round. If Dennis Siver is kicking people, it's going to be early on before McGregor starts bopping him in the head. Dennis Siver's style and endurance that we've seen over SEVEN years isn't magically going to change overnight and in a new weight class.

  22. That is mean. Sure, I have taken lowbies in passive mode on helicopter rides only to bail out and kill them when the chopper crashes, but that is just vicious. I love our ill treatment of our fellow human beings.

  23. I had a dream last night about WWE. Eric Rowan became Corporate Kane's assistant, and followed him around and did things for Kane. He made copies, worked on PowerPoints, and filed paperwork, all while still wearing his sheep mask. He'd follow Kane to the ring and chokeslam people for Kane. Kane eventually taught him how to make fire come from the ring posts, and then Rowan got possessed by the Demon Kane mask and became Kane. Luke Harper was really nervous about his first day in WWE without Bray Wyatt and would go around asking people for help with basic things and he turned into this Mick Foley-type babyface and everyone liked him and they held him on their shoulders when he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Cesaro was on a losing streak and was really upset about it backstage and crying and Meep Moop Bray Wyatt showed up with a motivational speech and the next week Cesaro was in the garbageman outfit and oh my god it's fat Chris Hero in a garbageman outfit and the Kings of Wrestling were the new Wyatt Family and it didn't matter that Chris Hero was fat because he's supposed to be he's the new Eric Rowan. And Curtis Axel became Bray Wyatt's mini-me somehow.

  25. You know, I actually don't think the whole "why do you have the camera still on?" is that big a loop hole. Especially now when everyone is recording everything on their phones. If you legitimately thought you were going to die and the camera was maybe your last message to the world/your loved ones...wouldn't you keep it on? If I legitimately thought I was going to die, I would get out of the fucking haunted witch house with walls covered with the handprints of missing children. I would most certainly not fall for the most tried and true horror tropes ever and go investigate the basement of the haunted witch house. Blair Witch is riddled with cliche after cliche. Good horror mockumentaries trick you into thinking you are an incidental viewer and the terrible events are there for the character to suffer through. The entire payoff of Blair Witch is soaked in images that are there to freak out the audience, not Heather or her poor partners. Blair Witch would be the worst of the found footage movies if it weren't for The Last Broadacast or the useless Blair Witch Sequel.. NOROI, The Sacrement, [REC], Grave Encounters, and (watched it last night) Afflicted are far smarter than Blair Witch and far more frightening.

  30. A big reason I think the Stephanie hate has tapered off is because, quite frankly- there's nothing "to" hate or love with Stephanie. In recent years, we've kind of heard and accepted Vince McMahon micromanages the show to the point of nothing, which will crap all over any of the WWE Creative team's ideas for Vince's whims. Stephanie's reign as booker is the biggest question there for what she is due to that micromanaging. To put it the best way possible: Stephanie McMahon was the booker for WWE for 13 years, through most of the 21st century, so there should be a large sample size of Stephanie McMahon writing to look at. However- can ANYONE specifically point to any tics or trademarks of Stephanie McMahon's booking that are proof it's her? Short of "she loves building the Divas' division around a group of Mean Girls-style heels" and "she's very interested in booking the woman behind the man in power", there doesn't seem to be that many trademarks of a Stephanie McMahon wrestling show there. Quite simply, how can you hate Stephanie McMahon as a booker when you don't know if there's anything to hate?

  35. Another thing related to shards that I was told but haven't tried myself- When you normally dismantle a legendary armor right away you get the 2-3 shards, but if you let the armor level up, as in let the upgrades become available for you to select but don't actually spend the shards to upgrade it, you will get more shards when you dismantle it even though you didn't spend any on it.

  36. The Reds are in payroll hell. They have $81M committed already (which includes Cueto's option and the buyouts on Ludwick and LOL Jack Hannahan). Chapman, Leake, and Latos are all in line for absurd arb raises. Frazier, Mesoraco, and Cozart are all arb-eligible for the first time. Last year, they had a team record $114MM payroll, and finished in fourth. So...how about those Joey Votto and Homer Bailey contracts?
